I used to have a Nasty Nail (Faball), but I thought it was a dud, and threw it out about 4 months ago. I'm also thinking about something to replace the BIg Block with with something more snappy, and less arcy...

I think you will like the Sharp Blade and the Road Hawg, I would suggest that if you like the Sharp Blade, I love it, (find it easy to get rotation vs the Hawgs), you should keep your eyes peeled for a close out on a sling blade (i bought the last one I saw in february)

Vibe and Road Hawg are for different extremes, your choice should depend, of course, on what conditions you bowl mostly. Road Hawg is awesome if you are in a heavy oil league or various tournament play. Vibe is really only useful for DRY lanes, not light oil as much as DRY lanes.

do you have the turbo diesels in different condition. I kept the original matte finish and my brother had the pro shop "accidentally" put a little shine on it for him, got him a little more length, he actually likes it better that way. What is your experience with that ball?

yeah I have one shined and one with the factory finish My personal opinion i kind of like the one with the polish on it to Me it Gives you a little more of a smooth roll to the pocket the factory finish in short oil tends to roll out a lot so Depending on how you throw a little polish doesnt hurt Hope this helps

from what I know, I hear it is a controllable and smooth ball. I don't own it myself but depending on what you are getting it for money wise, it might be quite a buy. Good luck with it, I hope you find it a good buy.

I have a Big Blue Pearl. I think it is a great ball, rolled beautifully out of the box. I have mine drilled up for length because the house I bowl at tends to be on the dry side. The ball turns pretty early in the dry, so you should keep it on some oil, but unless you're going to drill it to be aggressive, I wouldn't recommend it for real heavy conditions either. It is a wonderful med-oil ball though. Hope this helps.

hey, jslowick - i've had a big blue pearl since december. at first, i wasn't too happy with it, but since then i've had it polished (16lbs, pin under ring finger) and use it predominantly as a spare ball. i know this isn't what you want to hear, per se, but it's a decent ball. the over-under is a little high (not the most predictable roll), and it has a tendency to not drive pins low to the ground, but that's just my experience. it doesn't really move on wet lanes. it's decent for medium conditions. since mine is polished now (high polish, like typical spare balls), it actually works really well on dry conditions. i used it last night at a house where my other balls hook off the charts, and i was able to play a nice (if not deep) inside line with it and had pretty nice results (256, 232, 222). if you can get a good deal on one, i'd say it's a relatively versatile pick.

Good idea. The Black Widow looks very tempting but I really can't afford to buy another ball. :( I'm about to order timber laminate flooring for my bedroom and have air conditioning installed which is going to wipe me out for a while so I better back off the spending! Grrrr!

haha 1! lol, yeh i only have my real deal, the proshop at my centre is soooo lazy and crappy haha they refuse to house reactive balls bcoz apparently they are a waste of money, pffft how r they gonna get good bowlers to buy things, i really dont like the fact that the proshop worker sed that about the waste of money...
