I bowled in 31-32 and in 61-62 .. the approaches were just fine... I used my regular heel and sole combination, no problem at all.

Had no problems with any of the approaches I bowled while I was in Reno. Only problem was having to bowl in pants.

I'm tweener...
I bowled team event in 31-32... I have to say I was expecting A LOT of oil by what I've been reading the past weeks, in my experience there were not THAT MUCH oil, I think the lane were not easy but very playable, I started around 6-7 with my World Class, and ended up in 15 with my Black Widow, I shot 590 with 2 splits and 1 (stupid me) open... not that bad not that good.
Then I bowled doubles and singles in 61-64, I started in 15 with my BW, I shot 612, very decent with a couple of splits and two opens, then in singles, I started in 20, bad call.... 156... I realized (too late) that I was way high for that pair... I returned to 13-15 with more hand turn ended up with 219, 212...
I was not sure to bring my spare ball, thing I did, very pleased with that decision... regarding my "arsenal", I only wish I would have one more ball... my Buzz medium length strong arc, for the doubles/singles event.... hey but that is just me!!!...
Hope you do good when you bowl...
Notes:
WClass, pin above-right ring finger, 400 grit,
BW drilled for medium length and strong arc, 1000 grit
NM, Layout 1, 2000 grit.. I didn't use it in the USBC but I did use it in the BJ.
