I am gonna do my first adult have a ball league starting a week from Monday. I have to go to a meeting to meet my new team and find out how things are gonna work out. My question is what should I expect? I have never been in a adult league and I am just curious about what things will be like.

lol well expect more cussing, more competition, higher scores from your competitors and higher scores from you. When i moved to adult league when i was 17 i already knew what to expect because my father bowls and i bowled with him. i was up there everyday he bowled and watched him and knew what to expect. pretty much those 3 things are all you really have to expect. maybe just maybe better oil pattern as well but definetly higher scores from EVERYONE and more cussing and alot better competition.

Cool. I was like one of two or three people from juniors leagues that was serious about it. The cussing thing I don't know about because one guy on my team drops f bombs at least 5 times a week.

ahhh good call on the drinking i forgot about that one and i do it sometimes. but yes jackpot and money makes it more competition and gets you going and thinking more on your shots....my average first year in adult increased 20 pins first year then 15 more the next year

Expect a lot of bitter old people that will be threatened by your youth and skill.

My son regretted moving up when he did. He went to adult leagues at 16 as there was no competition for him at the local level. He went from being the "Big Fish" in the little pond to just being another fish in the pond if you get my drift. He missed out on a couple of school opportunities because he bowled a couple of PBA Events at 17.
Unless you have investigated the college eligibility requirements to bowl and adult leagues will not keep you from bowling in school by all means, go up. Otherwise stay down in Jrs
