I never bought items on ebay before but was just wondering...is it for real?
I mean, starting bid for tomb raider starts at .99 cents.Maybe after a few days,it goes up to 10 bucks.I mean to get a $100+ bowling ball for just 10bucks.How these sellers make money?Or is there anything wrong with these NIB balls?
Well, anyone who bought it for outrageous amounts before, pls assure me...COZ MY FINGERS ARE DYING TO START BIDDING!:D

I've bought a few balls off ebay in my time. The bid always starts real low, but then jumps with just about an hour left to go. Of the balls I won the bid on, I've never been burned with bad product. Usually, you can get these balls for way under what you would pay in a shop, but nothing like just $10. The cheapest I got one for is about $60 plus shipping...

If you buy on Ebay, make sure that you know the pin length or top weight. Some sellers have a large inventory and you can just request the pin and top weight.
Some sellers set a reserve, so you may have to make a few bids to get up to that price.
Beware of "pro pin" or "pro cg" balls. They are usually less expensive because only a small number of people can use a ball with a long pin. If it suits your game, consider yourself lucky.
Only buy from people who have a good Ebay rating. If they don't have 99.5% good ratings, I wouldn't buy from them.
If you buy from them, and the transaction is smooth, be sure to provide positive feedback. If you make a prompt payment and provide them good feedback, they will usually do the same for you and help your rating.
Good luck!

saved a few bucks and bought my ultra mega x through ebay, buying it from bowlingball.com just as this listing for the tomb raider, bowlingball.com is the only place you can get the tomb raider or mega x whether from their site or saving a couple of bucks on ebay. Do note, their shipping costs are higher for things listed on ebay, not a great deal, but factor that in when deciding which way to go.

Just for everyones info, I have been watching every Tomb Raider and Mega X listing BB.com has had on there, and almost every one ends in the 50-75 dollar range. Tack on the 25 bucks shipping and you are at 75-100.
The ultimate Ebay secret is to be on the computer with about 3 minutes left. It seems low, but someone else will do it, so you have to too.

I agree with going to a proshop generally. I have purchased a couple of used balls from Ebay that were in pretty bad shape and one ball recently never came and I have not been able to get my money back from paypal. However, I have purchased some great balls and things on ebay too.
All in all, I think Ebay is good source for hard to find balls, accessories, cleaners, and real rarities like hammer door mats.

you aren't wrong, I have two balls that have cracked that I am using as a lawn ornament in the back yard, bought both on ebay, doesn't mean they weren't top quality balls, you just can't go back to them like you can a pro shop if there is a problem....

The key with ebay is being willing to pay more than someone else, if you are constantly looking for a steal, you will be out bid more often than you would like. There is nothing low about being on with 3 minutes left, that is what makes an auction an auction.

Yeah really?
If they aren't cooperating send them one last note that says you are getting ready to throw down a nasty negative feedback. Most ebayers will jump thru hoops to not have their reputation tarnished.

No problem. I have used Ebay to buy two bowling balls, two guitars, and a set of golf clubs. I have had no problems getting my merchandise on time, usually earlier than expected.
My only issue was really my own fault for not knowing better what a "pro pin" bowling ball is and that it isn't the best answer for my style.
I got a Blue Vibe for $40 plus s & h NIB, first condition to my exact specs. The ball is pristine and one of the best balls that I've seen.
The Epic Battle is the pro pin ball, but I only paid $60 plus s & h. It's also a first condition ball and looks great, it just has a long pin length.
I'm not trying to advertise for Ebay, but you can get really good deals on there. Just follow the simple advice that I gave you if you consider it again.
BTW, my mom found a brand new pair of Dexter SST 5 Sport bowling shoes for my birthday for only $40 plus s & h. Those sell for no less than $99 on the cheapest bowling sites and much more in a pro shop.
I'm thinking about getting the Hammer 4 ball inline bag which goes for $119 buy now on Ebay plus s & h. My pro shop guy even told me I'd be dumb to pay his price of around $180.

who never delivered your ball?
It was an individual. He was selling a 15 lb. used Sling Blade. I got it for a really good deal 22.50, I believe. Plus 12.00 for shipping. I paid right away and got an email from him to send payment again to another paypal account because he changed emails or something. They were both Brandonmechanics or something like that. So, I ended up paying 69.00 even.
This all started on February 25th and I believe I paid the second time on February 27th. We exchanged emails back and forth. The last email I got from him was in the middle to end of March asking whether I got the ball or not yet and blaming his local post office for having some kind of problem.
Anyway, I sent him emails every week or so during April and reported him to ebay and paypal the last week of April. I have not had any response from ebay or paypal since making the "claim".
It is unclear to me whether he ever really sent the ball. I have purchased lots of stuff and sold some on ebay and have rarely had any problem before. He really should return at least the 34.50 in double pay. And, if he really did send the ball probably should return 1/2 the other money.
I am angry about this but sort of more perplexed than anything.

Wow. I just checked paypal. They rejected my claim because I waited more than 20 days to make claim. I am following up with them. Not only did I not get the item but I double paid. Paypal should at least help me with the double pay. I will report back.
