I think hammer is dropping it's spare ball because it reflects too negatively on there strike balls. Hammers are so good you won't need to shoot spares...

Can ham, you're right. They should stop making spare balls, it does make people have the illusion you need a spare ball for them spares, you will not leave anything you have to use a spare for...I barely ever leave 10 pins since I switched to the BW. Fired Up leaves 10's almost any pocket shot.
