I know I wanted to be an all hammer bowler. I just messed that up. I just got a deal I could not turn down. My friend's uncle let me buy The One from him for $50. He didnt take good care of it so it was "dead". I just got done giving it a bath and I can hold it upside down ^.^

I'm using it for light oil by the way, because I can start gunning it down the lane and it hooks almost when its too late.

you should give "CPR" by columbia or the "hook again" a run at it, you might be surprised how much of it you get back.

I'm going to practice tonight, I'll tell you all the results...I actually bowl really good with The One. I had 8 strikes in a game today. Just played second arrow straight up throwing 20 mph (thats way over normal for me) and it snapped. That was before the bath. I'm sure I'm gonna throw my arm out with this ball on the light oil.

Wut i don't get is that it is good but it is dead. If it is dead, it shouldn't hook. I had a ball that was dead. It only hooked if i threw it slow enough. I would hit high flush and the ball would miss the five pin.

How long before a ball goes dead? What causes it?
Will it hook once we give it a bath?

This guy who sold me the ball, thought it was dead cuz he didnt clean it or anything over a whole year, so I bathed it alot and all the oil came out.

I throw this thing hard enough that when I get a swishy strike, the 7 pin flys over the pin deck. Such a great ball.

lmao...I'm so happy with The One. It skids like crazy if you throw it really really really hard. I throw this ball much harder than my Widow (due to the Widow fitting strangely...I cant get anyone to drill me a friggen oval thumb...), and The One will skid to the point I think I threw a straight ball.

This ball is an ultimate skill challenge for me, cuz I do rev it up some (happy the Widow fits right and my release is no longer suffering as a result). I will throw The One down the 10 board (and sometimes further in) and very fast (dunno...no speed sensors, my guess is 20-23 range) and rev up the ball...the thing that this is teaching me is accuracy though. If I miss the 10 board to the inside, by even a board, the ball will go for the 10 pin.

I have a question about drilling. The One has really really deep finger holes (deeper than my pinkey, both of em, not just ring finger). What does this do to ball dynamics? (the weight hole is the same.)

My guess at the moment is that it creates more skid...but I seriously dont know, so help me out on this one.

Awesome man! glad you like it

about the question

I dont know the spec of the ball, but the driller must of drilled more finger weight out to make it legal? or to make it go longer(but the ball is designed to go very long anyway:confused: i think, i'm only just starting to get to know more technincal about drilling), i have finger weight taken out on my switch blade and it goes longer with a massive strong arc...

you should ask your local ball driller

Its definately not to make it legal, cuz there's a weight hole just as deep right next to it, plus the guy who drilled it doesnt like to get top weight in the ball.

Oh well...The One is gonna be my league ball, I can throw that very well in light oil. My Widow will tear the rack apart.
