just got on a new league and my revs wont cut it. I get med revs with a med ball speed and i can hit the pockets good usually but on this league it aint workin rite. How do you guys achieve more revs?

You could just try slowing down just a little, your question is the magical question, i am still trying to figure that out myself

lol ive tried alot of things and i can get a couple but not enough to make a big differnce. il try to slow it down

With a 202 avg you don't need more revs,you need to find the line that will put you in the pocket every time.Sounds like you're trying to fit your normal shot onto an oil pattern that won't go for it.If you tell us whats going on,maybe we can point you in the right direction as far as speed,moving left or right,and even something as easy as how far back you stand on the approach.Last Wed the lane machine had a brain fart at our lanes and really put down some oil.You should have seen the guys trying everything under the sun to find a line.My Black Widow was hitting the right side of the 3 pin instead of the pocket.The fix?Move back 6 inches on the approach and throw just a touch slower.I was the only one in the 200's all nite!

just bowled today and i found a new trick. I just started cranking the ball and i threw im my first 300!! im so happy..!!!!!!!!!!

if ure not used to it its hell on your wrist. mine are pretty strong but my right one is a little sore but i like the way my ball react very sharp in the pocket only hit one head pin the whole night usually in pocket or i just plain messed up.

it isn't just revs, consider speed and line too. You can find a combination that works, I promise you.

it is like shooting free throws, you have to follow through, just makes it easier on you.

yeah everyone on league tonight said my ball was spinning different. it was really i never noticed but it hit the pocket so hard and i like it. NOTHING HITS HARDER THAN A HAMMER

I used to have a problem with not following through, then I had a problem with short arming the ball. Last night everything clicked and I was revving up the Wrath Xp and killing the pins...if my Widow would have fit I would have shot 300 instead of 290, first frame my shot didnt carry enough.

got to hate that. my black widow is currently pluged and im gonna redrill it with a snap hook layout so i get better pin action and more hook out of it.

I got mine laid out for a label arc drill. The arc drill I got has more of a skid/flip reaction when I play outside, and when I swing the shot. It arcs when I play inside, and I just love it, just gotta get it to fit. My span was off by 1/4 of an inch

kool im gonna redrill my big bang with a backend layout for heavy oil. and then sand the crap out of it make it a flood ball real quick for my new league

I just got a Trauma Response, gonna get it sanded down for heavy oil more than likely, I gotta throw it on oil while its polished first, but thats getting redrilled too. Driller is out of the Senior Regionals right now, wont be back til the end of June.

i got tired of my driller and asked him if i can drill my own balls. he overseas me to make sure i make no mistakes. ive only made one so far and that was minor so im ok.

yeah i know how to lay out a ball for me atleast i have all my measurments on hand and if i need help my driller helps kindly. im still learning though and have a whole lot to learn but im doin good ive drilled 5 of my balls so far.

when i turn 15 hes gonna hire me as assistant manager and let me run the proshop. ive just got to learn how to drill a little better and i am good to go.

i know, still always good to have a goal...I'm gonna get my average above 200 for this league...dude...since the one i'm in now isnt USBC sponsered I can do as good as I want, and it wont affect my pins over average USBC tourny I got next month...:D

i wanna be in a PBA league, I hate normal house shots, you can ride the 2nd arrow for strikes all day, and switch to the 3rd arrow when you have trouble with dry.

we think our house just throws hair grease on the lanes and leave it their. our lanes are spochy oil here none there. so we have to just launch the ball but finnally we got pba oils and were so happy

hahaha, i bowl in a house that oils their lanes once a day. It is so bad come league time. Sometimes they oil before my Travel League in the fall, but othertimes you better have plastic.

i need something less than plastic. whip cream might do lol. i get a whole lot of revs with my plastic balls and they like to hook in med oil like 5 to 9 boards but if they get real dry i throw my maxim spare and throw it on the 1st board and let it hook.

yeah i got problems with mine overhooking too...like i'll throw at the 10 pin really hard and ride the right gutter, throwing cross lane to keep it going at it on anything less than medium oil with carry down.

its easy for me so i do it. i can pick up 10 pins with a like 20 mph ball with revs but my back up is more accurate

hahah, I throw like 17 in my comfort zone, so my 10 pin ball is 18-19 usually, enough to make the pin flip around after I hit it. One of my friends cracked a 7 pin when he picked it up, i think he threw somewhere around 30 on it...it was insane.

it was crazy, cuz he had just lost his 300 in the 10th...all the way to 10 in a row and...7 pin! So when he threw at it, he just literally chucked the ball at the pin...

haha...first time I did it I just started throwing 15 pounds...i make a 13 to a 15 jump, so it was wicked when I hit 30. I hit the 6 pin and everything fell lmao...

i like my normal speed inbetween 16 and 18. My BW didnt fit, span too long, and i could barely hit 14 with it.

last night at league in my second game we had a bet that i couldnt touch the ceiling and bam i hit it with my friends ball so funny.
