Hi... I am in the market for a new bowling ball and right now i have a Sling Blade. I still love the sling blade i just need a ball that will turn in oil with back end to spare. Well my dad just bought a Big Block diesel and it wont snap on the backend. Im not saying that the ball is bad i believe its the house. They cant afford to strip the lanes every day so they only do it about 2 times weekly. Well i get more hand into it than my dad so i think it might work good for me but i really am looking at the Saw Blade. Any one have any reviews of either ball? They would be appreciated. I am right now still in my first year of bowling and i am averaging 196 thru 31 games. I throw med. to fast speeds depending on lane conditions so any help would be appreciated. I believe my sling blade is drilled for maximum flare/earliest hook potential.

A major reason why some may not get more backend from their Big Block Diesel is because the cores is too strong. If a person has more than avg rotation, they should really try a weaker drilling. This will create more backend reaction.
As for your choice of your new ball, since you're a beginner I suggest the Saw Blade. The Saw Blade is not like other Blades, if you look at the RG and Diff numbers it's much stronger than the rest in the Blade series. If you're pleased with your Sling Blade, then you can expect the Saw Blade to be much stronger.

mred232,
First off, Faball is correct on all accounts.
Personally, without seeing you bowl it's hard to say but I can give you my views.
Myself, I have a lot of hand. Too say I hook the ball is an understatement.
My Big Block Diesel is drilled with the pin 5 inches away from my PAP.
My Saw Blade is drilled the same.
Results - Because the Saw Blades cut throat coverstock, it tends to roll up a little sooner.
Backend reactions are very strong.
If you have any other questions, email me.
Thanks,
Horn
