In a couple months I will have my ball spinner.....

I'm gonna use Birthday funds and a few fake tears to get a Black Widow Pearl with it :D

I'm going to go over to my parent's house tonight and see if I can cry a bowling ball out of them. Surely the sight of a 6'5" 350lbs. bearded man crying will entice them into such a purchase.:D

you guys have fun with your spinners, it is one purchase I don't have any desire to get, I would rather flip a $5 spot on my guy to clean/polish/sand/change grit, etc and know it is being done perfectly. If it were up to me, i would jack around with them so much I would end up with a rack of what would look like funny looking softballs.

Its a matter of convenience for me, my proshop is over 20 miles away from my house and 30 minutes. From what I understand you really have to screw up to get a ball out of round on a spinner, it can be done. Mine was more for the cleaning aspect of it. Only done a couple complete resurfacings.

well I am not saying YOU GUYS will do that, just that I probably will, not a knock on anyone but my lame mechanical abilities.


and how do you LIVE so far away from lanes, I am 8 minutes away and looking at homes closer online....

LMAO. I moved closer to Bowling House; not sure if it was subconscious thing or what. Now, I am about 7-8 blocks from lanes. If running late, no worries, I can leave house about 10 minutes before practice starts and still get a drink before lanes are turned on.:D

My local alley is 3-5 minutes, couple miles tops.... there is a reason I drive to my proshop 20+ miles away, as many of us here do. Really did not take it that way... I just hope that I never screw up a ball. Biggest deal I've heard is to keep your hand moving, lots of water. My proshop, does not even use his Haus Resurfacing Machine.

You guys know I'm on the other side of the fence on this one, I love to use my spinner :D

I will admit that I use it more often for cleaning than resurfacing. We're moving from Cheetah to Shark in league next week so I'm going to work on a few balls this weekend.

I was advised to buy a Taxi Contour Abrasion block to prevent sanding a flat spot in the ball. Basically it's a block that's curved like a ball.

I live 30 minutes away from my bowling alley and 45 minutes away from my pro-shop
