I've Done it Again!

:D I have successfully created an amazing ball cleaning gel.
You guys can do this to make your balls eXtra clean.

First I took a bottle of Dawn dish soap that was 1/4 the way full
Then I used some waterred down Alcohol
Then accidentally CHEMICAL X ( Ammonia ) lol.....
After this I heated the concoction in a closed bottle with hot water.
After I heated this the chemicals.....smelled...different
When the smell wouldnt go away I realized that I did something chemically accedentally......

When I used a bottle without heat it got about as much oil out as three or four sprays of Mega Bite by Storm.

Excited, I used the heated version with caution...

I COULD ALMOST HOLD THE BALL UPSIDE DOWN WITH NO FINGER HOLE USE!

AND THEN WHEM I PUT MY FINGERS IN I COULD DO IT! lmao....

Yeah , It's that clean.

NOTE: this cleaner is extremely powerful and should only be used every 30 to 50 games - Bout as good as a Bath

You may need to use a little water to get the mix of the balls surface completely.

Oh yeah, the cleaner does work better if you rinse off the gel with Hot water rather that room temperature.

I made this in an attempt to save time wasted by constantly giving my balls baths ( What can I say theyre oil eaters ^o^ )

why don't you try ammonia and chlorine bleach while you are at it, oh yeah, you would create mustard gas doing that. I have no clue why people would mix chemicals unless they knew what to expect, very dangerous

I found that this cleaner has VERY little effect on sanded finishes so I think I am going to get a patent on the formula....I added some zing to the original formula so it should launch to the markets in year....months?.....centuries...lol

Anyway, this is "interesting", but I'll stick to the products brought to us by scientists that have specially, and intentionally, formulated cleaners with important things in mind... like how it reacts to/with the coverstock, how well it pulls out the oil, etc.

y'never know, your bro might end up as a chemist helping out the Hammer/Ebonite engineers to create the new coverstock that does not absorb oil...

altho the only thing i like from what he mentioned was the 'gel' type cleaner. i hate those cleaners that are too liquid-y, once you apply them, everything leaks to the bottom right away and nothing stays on the ball to clean up :p

Well....
I have made major progress in creating 3 gel cleaners and one liquid cleaner

So far the second gel cleaner is the most powerful....
The Great thing is that the third cleaner that is a gel is an enhancer for bathing your ball.

When you rub down the ball beforehand the ball seems to release MUCH more oil.

I tested the bathing gel on my friends Action Max and No Mercy.....
the balls were squeaky underwater after the first bath.....
I thought I was doing something revolutionary by using the gel as a catalyst in the procedure of bathing.
I have concluded that the cause of the release of oil sooner is that the resin pores in the balls surface open as a reaction to the cleaner therefore releasing the oil quicker than heating the surface to open oil trapping pores.

I have studied the same ball with a magnifying device after using the gel then not using it. (the same amount of games were used to produce good results before the bath.)

And the pores in the resin coverstock are wider and deeper to completely remove oil when I used the gel compoud.

An amazing thing this is...!

And to think.....at the end of this post you are all going to hate me for using Big Words for a source of brouhaha.

Here are the cleaners and what their sole purpose is.....

This one seems to absolutely destroy any trace of oil keeping your ball from hooking,,,
I tested this on a close pocket shot on the Scorpion pattern.
This cleaner DOES polish the ball about medium on the clean/polish scale so sanded ballers beware.

This cleaner polishes the ball a lot if you try to use it on a sanded ball....AGAIN beware of the anti sander,,,,,,It seems to Clean ball and not effect the way your ball moves too much....I got this for the more consistently lined people.....unlike me....I just have an area I throw in.

This baby is for you sanded bowlers.....*cough* Heavy Oil *cough*
This seems to clean the ball about..as good as my Power House but it keeps the balls surface Dull.
I tested this on my friends No Mercy and the surface didnt change until like 9 constant cleans....and if you get this I dont think you'd try to give your ball a polish lol.

And this is my revolutionary formula that completely rids the balls surface of oil in 1 to 3 baths.....( Had to get ALL the oil outta my Widow lol )
Directions : line the walls of your bucket or the bottom of your tub with a SMALL amount of the gritted compound and rub down the ball with the gel compound before the FIRST and last baths.....and in no time the ball will be ready to roll with a refreshed oil cuttin sensation .

NOTE: The Bath stuff has two chemicals
one bottle is gritty powder
one is gel

You mean the "recipe" that incorperates other commercial products? You know that you can't mix Dawn (or any other commercially available product) with something else and resell it without prior written/legal permission, right?

Have you tested the product over an extended period of time? Has anybody done a study to find and record adverse side effects to either short term or long term exposure to the mix of chemicals? Are you aware of the chemical reactions caused by the actual mix of chemicals in your "commercial ingredients", or any reactions caused by this mix of chemicals and the agents in the balls coverstock?

I'm pretty sure you didn't consider any of this.

Out of interest, if the OP mixed washing-up liquid, alcohol, ammonia and god knows whatever else, how would Dawn prove that their product was used as part of the mix? By the time the booze and ammonia had done their stuff the mix would become something else entirely.

Might be worth adding it to the Anarchists Cookbook though - it's probably not too far removed from some of the entries therein :)
