I had heard that the Blue Vibe is going to have the same coverstock at the Road Hawg, I had imagined this would be a ball closer to the vibe conditions wise (maybe a medium to light oil ball vs the dry conditions for the original vibe). Anyone have any info?

The Vibe Blue has the Hawg WILD cover. Vibe Core.
This ball has more midlane, and is more readable, then the VIBE. The cover is just stronger, in otherwords. This will be a nice fit between the Vibe and the upper lines. Basically, now there are lower end balls that fit 2 different hook shapes.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, sounds like an awesome ball.

So...Maybe a fit between my Vibe (dry lane) and my Big Block Diesel (medium lanes)? I was also considering a Doom might also fit that category. I really like the way the Vibe shreds the rack in lighter conditions...

BigDog, HammerPrideIL is right about the Doom being jerky off the breakpoint. When I can throw my Doom, it is an awesome nugget, but just like anything else, you just need to know when to throw it and when to bag it. The summer league I bowl in is kind of wet-dry and so the ball either hits oil and goes long or I square up and it reads the dry too soon. The layout has something to do with that, but I find if there is more of a blend with some friction down lane, then that ball is a ton. I would say you can't go wrong with either the Doom, the new Vibe, or the Raw Pain. It just depends on what kind of pattern you are on and when you want the ball to read the lanes. Let us know what you decide and how it works out for you. :D

I think I'm leaning toward the Blue Vibe over the Doom. I'll let you know when I get one drilled up, and tested.

I was thinking about getting one of the new blue vibes. I have a doom drilled 6x4 and i thought it would make a good dry lane ball. way wrong. it's way too much for light oil but perfect for medium. Do you think a new blue vibe drilled the same way would be a good choice and would be well below my doom or should i go with a doom drilled pin-axis???
wow that blue vibe looks really good has anyone got prices on it and where it is purchased from???:)

you should try www.bowlersparadise.com to see prices (though much cheaper than a pro shop)
wicked thanx for that anybody thrown one of these and what would be the ideal drilling pattern for throwing this ball on medium conditions, for a mid/high track player with medium revs??? help is appreciated...
