View Full Version : Hammer Pain Scuff marks

My hammer pain seems to have scuff marks(belt marks), and roll marks all over the ball is there a product to use to get my ball back to its orig performance. i have a bottle of track clean n sheen, will this work? it doesnt have a gloss finish its the dull finish on the ball? can anyone please help me

My BW had the same problem and my proshop guy (A good friend of mine) Cleaned it. And they where gone. I believe he used power house cleaner. Im not sure. Ill find out more and let you know.

The clean n sheen will be fine. Then u might want to dull it back down. That i think brings it to 1500 or 1000, i don't remember.

Either use Ebonite Energizer Power House Cleaner, or use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser's.

I'll echo the Energizer cleaner. You can also have your Pro shop operator just hit the surface with a 1000 grit Abralon or Scotch brite pad. This will get the marks off, and somewhat restore the box finish to the cover.
If you're really despirate, you can use Acetone, but use it very sparingly as it can actually damage the cover.

If you haven't already tried use your regular cleaner, also a dry papertowel will somtimes get scuff marks from the belt(black smudges)

Second that on the acetone! ***Never use it on any bowling balls.***
You can try home based cleaners like simple green, windex, 409, etc...
