Congrats on your new addiction.

My g/f has recently found the same addiction as you, but for some reason because her aunt is a good left handed bowler, she felt that she had to bowl the same way although the g/f is right handed.

So, after much debating with her, I finally convinced her that she was doing it wrong, and had her bowling the correct way (although with a house ball). And after 3 games of the correct way, she had bettered her average by 15 pins each game going from a 115 to a 130.

Once she gets the new Hammer setup from me she will be on her way as a stroker and will seriously start with the leagues along with me.

Congrats Tinkerbell, I still remember learning to throw a hook. First year in college bowling class, one of the members of the opposing teams(the best one), showed a me couple of weeks in. It was like a lightswitch being flipped and every week my average went up. We ended up beating that team for the championships.

Coaching is just like heroin, the first hit's free, then they get you hooked and make you want to get better and better.:D

Congratulations!! I wish it took me that quick to learn a hook. It took me like 2 months to get my swing and format down. About 1 month after I got my hook ball and started hooking I had to start everything over because my format was improper, and then about one month after that I shot my first game in the 200 club, 209. But don't worry, it wont take you that long cus you got a bowling husband and an awsome coach. I just started to throw a hook because I wanted to get good at bowling, and its working pretty well. You will shoot a 300 before you know it, keep up on the good work.:)

on being such a cool bowling chick. Wish my wife would consider trying bowling. Every time I bring it up "I don't wanna talk about it". That's why at the end of the year, all the $$$ I win, I keep. Someday she'll seen things my way. Congrats on your new addiction.
