I was thinking of getting a Toxic and having it drilled just a little weak. What do you guys think I should do?

Well. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. I can't get the same result with it each shot. I can never seem to put the same amount of hand in the ball and a regualr basis. I'll probably hang on to it just to be safe, but I want something to replace it.

Maybe you should think about redrilling the Doom.Maybe your hand has changed and a redrilling could be the fix you need.Good Luck:D

If you really like your Doom, replace it with another Doom. Just because there are newer balls out doesn't make them better for what you're looking to have in reaction.
Think about it, what is the closest thing to your Doom, but another Doom. You can use different layouts to try to make up for the difference, but they won't be exact.
If you do still want to drill a Toxic, use a layout that will cause it to react slightly even. I really can't say without knowing your game or how your Doom is laid out. Maybe even use the same layout, but take the surface down to 4000 Abralon without polish. That might make it close to your Doom's reaction
Good luck

I was thinking about trying that because I noticed that the span is short. Maybe I will do that. Cause is that works, I will have some extra money to put towards a PSP. :D

Could someone please close or delete this thread? I'm gonna make a different poll with more choices.

Have to agree, check your span and also make sure that your thumb hole is opened up enough. Always carry tools to open up my thumb holes. Remember you need to check your span every 3-6 months for a while.

No offense to Ebonite, but their bevel knifes stink, dull.

Lots of 400 grit sand paper.
Seen other tape tools, but this is the one I like.

Lots of white tape 3/4 and 1 inch. Some Black also.

Good sharp pair of scissors, don't go cheap here.
Something I dont have is a good pair of finger nail clippers.
Here is some aresenal advice:
You have a pretty good list of bowling balls. Your always working some sort of trade. I know it's cool to get new stuff. But I really think you'd be better off sticking to a good half dozen bowling balls for a while, plus a good spare ball.
Are you wanting to get rid of a couple balls?
What do you have that is the same type of reaction?
What do you have that does not weight the same?
Do you want to retire the Black Hammer, it's a nice relic of days past. Plus it's a 14 lbs?
Questionable: Action, Absolute Inferno, TPC Warrior
TPC Warrior might be a good dry lane ball. (My guess.)
Doom good ball for fried heads with good backlane read/reaction
BW, after all the good stuff I've read why would you consider getting rid of this ball, right?
Here is your arsenal,
Action
Black Widow
Absolute Inferno
Doom
TPC Warrior
Black Hammer

I sold the TPC Warrior cause I didn't have any need for it. I'm about to sell my Action. I'm thinking of selling/trading my Absolute because it is a tad too strong and I don't feel like putting $50 into it to get it plugged and redrilled weaker. The Doom I will probably have the span adjusted. My Black Hammer is 16lbs and works as my spare ball. All of my stuff is 16lbs. None of my balls have a same reaction. I think My arsenal will look like this:
No Mercy Beat'n from have a ball league
Total NV
Black Widow
Black Widow Pearl
Absolute Inferno maybe
Toxic slight possibility
Doom probably
Black Hammer for spares

if you do wish to get rid of the doom, i would be more than willing to give it a go here in NC. I can always use another Hammer.
***Add new option to the poll, give Quest the Doom***

LOL. I don't think I'll give it up. I don't know what it is, but I just get this feeling that I shouldn't get rid of it.
