Well, it seems like no matter what I do, I can never put the same amount of hand in the ball after each shot. It is probably because the span is messed up. I'm gonna get it fixed sometime within the next week to see if that helps.

Was it one you picked up used and didn't have redrilled? If so, get it drilled to fit your hand and hang on to it.
