Should I get a 16lb Pain?

I was just think that maybe I should get a Pain instead of a Anger. I was thinking, would it be good to get a Pain?

Then I think my stupid arsenal that is aggrivating the crap out of us would be done. It would look something like this:

No Mercy Beat'n
Black Widow
Black Widow Pearl
Maybe Absolute Inferno if I decide to keep it
Pain
Doom
Black Hammer

You honestly wanna know what I think? I think you're worrying too much about quantity and not enough about quality or ability. It's not about how many you have, it's about what you can do with what you have. All the equipment in the world isn't going to help you if you're not fundamentally sound to begin with.

I think that a cheeseburger served on a sourdough bagel instead of a potato bread bun is the win (but only with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard). I think that flounder is underrated, lobster is very overrated, and cupcakes aren't just for school kids. I think that Fusebox is a half assed excuse for a framework because all it really amounts to is an overbloated include system.

And most of all... I think that I am overly opinionated, but I know that the realization of this won't change anything.

I know it's not about quanity. But I think a 6 ball arsenal would be perfect, and right now I'm just trying to see what the 6th ball could be.

Save your $$$$$$,Crusher.What you got in the bag now is fine.Nice spread,it should serve you well on about 90% of the oil patterns you'll see.The other 10%?You can make an adjustment to one of those other balls to cover that.

Thats a hard one, the Pain to me is very strong. Thats not what you need. My 15lb Pain is for sale. Bowled some good games and sets. Liked mine at 500 abralon, grey scitch brite. 800 polished was okay.

Pain and Anger have similar ball motion, I think you'd be fine with a Pain added in. Since you need to get your Doom's thumb moved up, plug the whole ball, and redrill it for something more as a filler ball (i.e. control drill, I think Slap could tell you how this works, he has one on one of his Toxic's.)

I got a BW, Trauma Response and Spare ball.

I need light oil ball...I'm planning on getting a Cherry Vibe, its the only ball out of the new Hammer's I really want to get. (Anger looks intresting though.)

Maybe the Trauma Response is gonna be good for me...it's going to look close to the BW on heavy oil, it has high mass bias.

Once again I'll recommend that you buy a spinner. for as much as you like to experiment it's perfect for you. it will be like buying a new ball all the time... and I don't want to hear about space concerns, if you have space for 22 million balls you can fit a rubbermaid tote in your closet.

Spinners cost too much. The guy at my proshop only charges me $5 a ball to change the surface, I'd rather just do that.

If you really want a pain, just buy one. I doubt it's going to fit into your line up but go for it anyway. I bet it out hooks that AI unless you polish it up.

I came back to the Forum to see how folks liked the long awaited BWP, and picked up some good feedback...thanks for that. Then I thought, what the heck, I'll see what's been going on the last few months. Mostly it's two or three guys bickering back and forth about absolutely nothing...not necessarily this thread, but many I've come across. I'm all for sharing stories, opinions, good games, not so good games, and exchanging ideas, but some of this stuff is ridiculous. It's very hard to weed the good stuff out from all this crap!

I may just do that! :D Sorry about the rant yesterday...it was a bad day. Most the time I come away with good info from my fellow Hammerheads. I won't be able to provide much input this time of year. I run a golf league all summer and don't get back into bowling until Sept. That gives me a couple months to hope my wife forgets all the money I dropped on golf clubs, so I can get the new BWP. :rolleyes:

I agree with you, Hammered. But I'm also just as guilty about making the stabs, although as far as where they originate from they'd have just been directed at somebody else if not me. But I agree. Unnecessary, unrelated, noncontributional posts plague this forum as some people merely try to raise their post count or, for whatever reason, just want to hijack a thread because they like attention.
