Surface Adjustments

Hey Hammerheads

I'm having some trouble keeping the ball on the right side of the headpin on oil conditions that my balls are used for. example: my BBP for medium oil. I was thinking that I might polish the balls in my arsenal to better fit the conditions they are meant for. I'm fairly new to making surface adjustments to my balls. If anyone has any suggestions to what grit I should sand my balls to and also what to polish them up to, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Do you know what the surface is now?

Action max - 400 grit
Total Inferno - Rough Buff (OOB)
Big Blue Pearl- OOB

I think I want to adjust them to:

Action Max-800 grit sanded
Total Inferno-sanded to 400 then high gloss applied
Big Blue Pearl-sanded to 1000 then high gloss applied

Any comments on this?

I think I took my Big Blue to that(couple of seasons ago) and it worked quite well, getting down the lane. I still keep it in the bag for fairly dry conditions.
