I was just wondering how the Powerhouse Energizer cleaner being so thin can help give the ball its original track?
Just seems weird that such a thin liquid can make that kind of difference to me I'm probaly just sounding stupid but owell :-P.

To me it's thin nature would be the reason. It's alot easier for a less viscous liquid to enter the small, small pores in the balls surface to break down oil versus a thick, more viscus substance.

Thx for the reply that gives me a good understanding of why not sure why I didn't think of that to begin with :-P

I'm not sure about that. The most potent cleaner is Clean n Dull/Tacky and it's a gel.

Wouldn't the fact that it's a gel and STAYS over the pores of the ball LONGER before it runs off cause it to be the better cleaner.Has more time to get to the goop in the pores of the ball.

I think the energizer is a quick cleaner that splashes in the poors and cleans out the recent dirt quickly like a nightly facial wash. Where the gels and other cleaners you put on and buff off are more like toothpast on a zit, it sucks the dirt out of the pours.

Maybe. I have no idea how the stuff works but it's amazing. Ebonite thought so too since they are keeping it on the market under the Powerhouse brand.

You use that stuff on both your Widows? How do they come out if you do.

Very, very clean. I use cheap white towels from Target and they literally turn black from the oil coming out of the ball. For the anti spinner folks it works by hand has well.
I've been using Black Magic rejuvinator as my main cleaner to ration my supply of Clean n Dull while it's future availability was in question. Now that ebonite will continue to sell it I might switch over to full time use.

Do u use it after every set or after like every 5. I've heard that u should use energizer as ur main cleaner, than, after a few sets, use clean n dull.

didn't expect this to be such a big topic. from what I'm getting Powerhouse Energizer cleaner is made to be used after every use to help keep the oil from building up. If I'm wrong please tell me ;)

Correct. There are also other cleaners, but Energizer is the most important. Power House is also keeping Power Wash, Track's version of it.

I not sure of the long term effects or if its legal but I put some OXI CLEAN spray on an old ball and let it sit there for 20 min, wiped clean, rotated sprayed the other half let sit and then wiped clean... I did this and it came out crazy clean... Threw it tonight and it was close to oob... Like I said dont know the long term effects or if its legal but it worked for me...

to me powerhouse is to be used after every set.(3 games) in between i use my towel or the old windex. i usually clean my balls once a month on the proshops spinner(they let me ) gels to me just dont work rite to thick. liquid in theory will get inside the tiny pores of the ball better than a jel if youre looking to polish a ball use a gel.

I don't clean after i bowl. I clean about 10 min before i leave to bowl. I clean it with rubbing alcohol then i put black magic rejuvinator on. I have the Enegizer Powerhouse...but i just don't like it. I use it every once in a while...but i just don't like how my ball performs after i use it

I have Powerhouse Energizer and Extender Polish. When I first got my ball it reacted way too much for the lane conditions I was throwing on. So I got the extender polish and it helped a lot. Now after so many games I'm giving it a bath with dawn soap. Just got the energizer cleaner so I'll be cleaning it after every set.
This forum has been a lot of help and given me a much better idea on cleaners :).

i love it but i usually clean on a spinner...more efficient. black magic is also good but idk about alchol...i think ill stick to cleaners made for bowling balls unless alot of people give it good props

Energizer has been reported to impart a slight sheen to a matte ball. The regular powerhouse does not do this. That said, I have partial bottles of each collecting dusk. Rejuvinator is hands down a better cleaner. I've heard that Lanemaster's product cleans as well as Rejuvinator but it's smell is noxious. I haven't been brave enough to try it.

I know what ya mean by that. When people first said to give my ball a bath in dawn dish soap I thought they were crazy but after hearing the same thing from enough people I finally gave it a try and am very happy that I did because it helped out a ton!

Messiah, looked for you and CAN'T find a reason why OXI-CLEAN would bust a rule.It doesn't change the durometer or the composition of the coverstock,so it should be legal.I gotta think that with all that foaming going on its really getting into the pores of the ball and doing a good job by the way you're raving about it.Think I'm gonna give it a try.

Thanks rowdy for checking on that :D ... I tried it on a pearlized coverstock so I dont know if it will work on a dull surface... I found it useful but might not work for everyone or on everyball... But it is something to check out if you have an extra ball lying around I think...

The type of surface shouldn't matter at all, since OXI-CLEAN only goes after the gunk IN the pores, not change the pores to get in there. Make sense?

I used energize for years then went to a trade show w/a driller friend and purchased a lanemaster ball (AP) which I got rid of. They gave me a bottle of cleaner and it is the best, after I used energizer cleaner tried the lanemaster cleaner pulled off more oil. I clean my equipment before I put it in the trunk and it takes off the rubber marks w/ease also, and it takes off more when I use it on my spinner.
