Most of us have capacity to bring a lot of balls to the lanes. How many balls should you bring to bowl on normal league night for 3 games?

I feel it all depends on the person. If the person has advance skill he or she should bring 3-4 balls. That includes 1 spare ball. Three balls for strike balls with different coverstocks and layouts.

I was thinking 2 and a spare ball, but Bubba swayed me before I had chance to vote.

One normal ball (i.e., a Black Widow) with stronger ball just in case the lane guy laid out too much oil and the BW is not enough ball. Still need to figure out how to go to weaker ball (Vibe). Thus total is 3 plus spare ball.:D

I'm with Bubba on this one also. Although for the start of this year I'll probably be with 2 strike balls (BWP and Bunswick Fury) My pro and I decided I should wait on my third ball until I figure out what I need it to do.

I think if the person has advanced skill and shes bowled there for a good 6 weeks in the league. All u need to bring is one strike ball and a spare. I know bring 3. Because some days i can be accurate from playing straight, or maybe sometimes im more accurate from playing a bit more in.

I bring my whole 6 ball bag. (5 strike balls and one spare ball) But I will normally only use my Doom, BW, and BWP for my stike balls.

I bring 4 plus a spare.
Big Blue or old burgendy(when I am feeling nostalgistic) for light oil.
BW and BWP for normal and then third game or burnout.
Vicious strike sanded for heavy(rarely) oil.
I don't know what I'll add if/when I get a 4 ball roller:o

3 and a spare: 1 sanded drilled early (big shot), 1 polished skid/flip (BWP), 1 light oil (vibe), maxim spare.

For my local house, you only really need two strike balls and a spare ball. Our house is very consistent in it's house pattern. So, you need one strong ball for the first two games and a longer ball like a pearl for the third game.

I bowl second shift in one of the leagues in which I need my Vibe for the last game.

YOU NEVER KNOW HOW OR WHO OILED LANES,ALWAYS SEEMS LITTLE DIFFERENT,DURING PRACTICE I THROW ALL 3 TO SEE HOW THERE MOVING AND WHICH 1 TO START WITH,SOMETIMES I END UP USING 1 AND SOMTIMES 2,RARELY 3,BUT ITS THERE JUST IN CASE,MY THING IS TO TRY AND ADJUST WITH 1 BEST I CAN,BUT SOMETIMES YOU NEED DIFFERENT BALL,ITS NOT A MY BAG IS BIGGER THAN YOURS THING,AND ITS DEFINITLY NOT STUPID,ITS WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE:p ALSO MY THURSDAY LEAGUE WE BALL 4 GAMES,2 ON 1 PAIR THEN WE MOVE, SO YOU ENCOUNTER CHANGE QUICK SOME NIGHTS,WITH NO PRACTICE ON SECOND PAIR,SO BALL YOU USED ON 1ST MAY BE OUT OF QUESTION FOR NEXT PAIR.

I have two strike balls (BW and BWP) and a spare ball.

Ditto

My house isn't very creative with their oil patterns. In fact, so many complained about last year, after the new synth lanes were installed, that they're dropping the THS back to 38'.

Anyway, what I'm taking a long time getting to is, two balls (BWS & BWP in my case) plus spare is all I need for where I play.

For the first few weeks of league I bring all my balls. Our lane man is pretty consistent so by the 3rd or 4th week it's pretty obvious which two balls will work best.

I could probably move down to 2 and a spare, but I'm always worried that the week I don't have everything will be the week that I don't have what I need.

Two and a spare for me..you don't need any more for a house league.

I take 2 & a spare ball (see below) I have seen some bowlers bring 6 balls to bowl leauge. Seaking as a Bronzecoach if you need that many then maybe you need to invest some of that money in lessons.

Seems like I'm in there with a few others: Black Widow,Black Widow Pearl and The Bud Ball for the spares.

I don't and never will believe that the number is relevant. If it takes 30 balls for you to feel comfortable and to score well, so be it. But I ain't helping you bring them in to the lanes or back out to your car.

That being said, if you have 3983749868586798 balls....I don't want to hear, "Oh man, I wish I had brought that other ball...."

Bring what you need to.

And THIS from the guy who when he wants another ball just walks to the shop and grabs one! It's all of what? 50 feet? Poor baby.:p

I bring about 3 balls (no spare ball) for league. Usually it's my med/heavy, medium and med/light oil balls just because every few weeks there might be more or less oil than normal. Or sometimes they'll throw in a reverse block or a short pattern.
