Tonight I play on Cheetah for the first time. I was on travel the last time my league saw that pattern. Which ball should I use?
I'm a tweener or power stroker. I throw around 17 mph with medium revs. I shoot pretty much down and in and don't swing the ball out much.

U can try the vibe or even the toxic. That should be fine. The epic battle might work if u brought it up in grit because u said it goes really long because its a pro-pin.

If you play down and in you will probably do great. This condition likes to be played outside. Around 5-8 or so. I dont know how your equip. reacts for you, but I would bring something that has a smooth arc to it. That way it wont get too much overunder with a skid/snap ball.

Well, the smoothest arching ball I have is the Pain. Then I'd say the Pink 3D. I have never tried the 3D on an sport shots. Maybe I'll try it on this pattern.
The Toxic and Vibe are pretty snappy on the back end and I'm just picking up my Anger before league tonight, but it will probably be too strong for this pattern.

The Pain is a great ball on any condition. But on PBA and Sport shots, it really does well. It seams for me the Pain plays better as the shot gets harder.

I'm actually surprised that Hammer replaced the Pain instead of just adding the Anger.
The Pain is by far my most predictable and reliable ball and works on a lot of conditions other than dry. I may buy another one just to have when this one wears out.
I take very good care of my balls by cleaning them directly after each use, regardless of how many games I use them for. I've had my Pain since last October and it still works like it did brand new and I've never had to bathe it.

Well, to my dismay, my Anger wasn't drilled up yet. :mad:
So, I went to the alleys to practice before league tonight and the lanes were bone dry. I broke out the Blue Vibe and tore it up.
Then the lane man came out and laid down the Cheetah pattern for PBA experience league.
Turns out the Pain is the most effective ball in my arsenal for this pattern, but I couldn't hit my mark with any consistency at all despite being all over it in practice.
These sport shots really make me work to shoot my average, which is only 151. I have to admit, it's very frustrating to see my ball miss the mark by a board or so and not even come close to hitting the pocket or to miss left and see it go racing past the headpin.
Ugh!:mad::mad::mad:
BTW, smelly redneck and I are in the same league and we bowled each other tonight. No comment on our scores, but my team won with a little help from two absent bowlers on smelly's team.
