Any of you guys have an idea why Reyes decided to switch to the BW in the finals instead of continuing with BWP?

Oh and also WTG Hammer having a player in the finals of it to begin with ;)!

I was bowling last week in a pro am with Robert Smith. Someone asked him about the shootout which I believe he said ended a few weeks ago. He could not tell anyone about the results, but he was commenting on the lane temp. and conditions. As hot as it was on the lane, oil moved around and dried up a lot, and shots would only last for a couple or three balls. My guess is that the BWsolid recovers better from the oil. So he probably switched to that so he could play in more up front with less “squirt” at the break point.

Dw-Watching GOLF instead of TWO hammer bowlers on the tube! Shame, shame. I was screaming at the TV for Reyes to make the damn adjustment I knew he had to make with the Pearl. God,it made my back hurt, but this was important. Really neat seeing Reyes and Kent with Pearls. Reyes' ball is laid out like mine, except his pin is a little further out. That's why I knew he had to move. I couldn't figure out what in the hell took him so long to do it. Bubba, any thoughts on this?

As far as Reyes switching balls,it looked like he thought he was going to run out of room on the right. He kept moving to the right all day to stay in the pocket. And with it getting warmer and the oil getting worse on the outside it looked to me like he was trying to go back inside to find some good oil. Remember,Norm and Walter Ray were using the same line on the outside. Put a Pearl in that and it'll break in front of the headpin. So it looked like a search for a fresh line was the reason for the switch.
