I have never thrown a sling blade, but I do have a Widow Pearl and a Cherry Vibe, and I notice really no difference in the two. They are both drilled skid/flip, and the Vibe is awesome. Very good range, and I mean very good. Stays if you are in and fires on the back if you are out. Hope this helps.........

I highly doubt it would eact anything like a sling. I had a sling and mine went left as soon as it touched dry no matter where it was on the lane. On oil it just sailed.
It talked to someone who drilled a Cherry, and he said it kind of a cross between the Blue and Purple (if it's possible-those two were pretty close). He said it was as lengthy as a Purple, but more controlled like the Blue.
With the cover it has it would be much longer on dry than a Sling, without as much torque to try to start in oil.
