Pretty happy with the new ball. I was able to get to the lanes on Sunday. I asked for a half decent lane, oil wise, so I could get something close to league conditions. 1st game I was really just playing around...seeing what it could do...testing it against my RS-1 (other pearl ball) and my BWS. Man, that ball looks shore looks purty going down the lane! Anyway, 2nd game, I thought since the BWP revs up so nicely through the mids, I'll move way left and fancy myself a cranker. We'll, I'm a stroker and it really showed. I was trying this and that, but I was out of my element. Needless to say, my scores were bad...but then again, I wasn't out to put up big numbers...just test the waters. 3rd game, I moved to my old spot, grooved it up the 10 board, and started off with 7 in a row. By now my arm is getting tired (this was my 1st time to bowl since league ended last spring), my ball speed dropped, and I had a hard time staying right of the headpin. Still converted my spares to end up with a 257. :D
Watching the different reactions of the two BWs, really opened my eyes to what some of you guys say about different surfaces. It's one thing to hear about it, or in this case, read about it...then it's something else to actually see it. I'm a see-it-for-myself kind of guy. Must be from living so close to Missouri.
