Has anyone heard about the new Columbia 300 ball called the Resurgence? I just got the BWP and I am thinking of adding another ball to my collection..I have had great success with Columbia (as well as Hammer) and I am wondering if anyone has more info than the selling line on the web site.

I haven't really heard much about it, but I have seen the ball. It is a lot more dull than what I expected. Still looks like a winner of a ball though!:p

Its gonna be an early roller for heavy oil. It is pretty dull oob so beware. It comes oob in 1000 abralon. So u can go either way. Its suppossed to be really strong, thus being for heavy oil. If u want a later roller for heavy oil, i would go with the beat'n.

Ebonite is going to separate Columbia and Track. Columbia equipment is going to compete with Brunswick (i.e. more early and stronger rolling), and Track will compete with Storm (i.e. moe length and backend reaction).
Columbia equipment always rolled strong for me anyway (except the Cuda 2000), so I think I would expect stuff that gets going in the front to mid-lane and is arcy. If you want something earlier than you're BWP, I would stay with Hammer. It will be more consistant from ball to ball because they use different materials than Columbia does to make them (even though it's the same company).
I would drill a No Mercy, Pain, Anger, or Beat'in. Remember, just because it's new doesn't make it better for what you want. After drilling and throwig my own BWP and a No Mercy, I think the original NM would be a good start. But talk to your ball driller and see what he suggests, he can figure out your game better than anyone else.

Good luck.

Good luck. Actually the No Mercy line is going to be longer. The Resurgance is going to roll early. If you want a earyl rolling heavy oil ball, the anger is a really good ball for the price and in performance. Good midlane in the oil and a very nice and good backend. And a lot cheaper.

Don't get me wrong, I love Hammer but I like to see whats out there and what I want to fit my game....my loyalty lies first with my game and not exactly a ball manufacturer....My Hammers do great for me and I am totally glad I have them but I still don't want to limit my selections to just Hammer...maybe if they sponsor me though...lol

Don't worry people here use ebonite alot as well. Colmbia, Track, and Hammer are all made in ebonites factory and I'm sure they all share R&D so you will be getting a great ball with any of these brands.

I usually only buy hammer brand bowling balls, but odds are I'm missing out on other great balls.

Is it a pearl or solid reactive with a dull finish?
