I have a Vicious-particle(green/yellow) 16 lb. and having trouble getting it to hook in oil. It has a good back end but I have trouble with it sliding too far in the oil before it hooks. I bought it used with not many games on it about 2-2.5 years ago, I did bowl 2nights in winter league 2 years ago, 1 league last year in winter, and 2 this year. Do I need a new ball, need to have it redrilled or is it all me. I did carry a 212 avg. the first year I got it(was avg. like 202 before I bought it) and bowled a 300 also. Now I'm averaging about 181. Help!

The new Hammer balls such as Real Deal is much more aggressive than your Vicious Particle. Since it's a couple of years old I suggest you keep it for medium conditions and purchase the Real Deal.
If you want, you can try to change the surface to about 500 grit Abralon pad. Maybe even 320 Abralon pad if there is a large volume of oil
