pure hammer trouble

the pure is not recommended in heavy oil, however, i hardly find myself in the grace of light oil. beyond scrubbing my ball clean of all oil and working the patterns, are there any suggestions to get the pur hammer to hook more?

Did you get that ball as a gift? Why would you buy the pure for heavy oil. I have two of them, they are great, but they are not meant for heavy oil. If that is your only choice, try sanding it and see what happens. It will be hard to get much from that due to it being meant for lighter and shorter oil.

the ball was not a gift, a friend of mine in my local pro-shop recommended i buy it. he figured the control and over dexterity the ball offered would suit my style quite well. my home lane, normally is lightly oiled, but with my travelling high school league, various other lanes have considerably heavier oil.
so this is where i run into my problem...

Oh your not in our divison.. Whats your guys record? were 2-1 lol it was funny. Uh then team we bowled against their high series going into the match was 2800 something and they shot a 3314 against us we shot a 3100 something lol our top 4 who average 200 shot 560 and below. We had one 600 and a guy who averages 160 shot a 352 series in THREE games. lol sad... well good luck on your side of town.

first week, our players were told the wrong time to compete, so we all got DQ'ed and lost the first game...
second week, we kicked the living tar out of cienega
third week, things just feel below average, losing to santa rita...

Yesterday was a joke. We bowled against Ironwood Ridge at Bedroxx. I bowled a 480 and my average dropped 11 pins to a 193. We shot a 3128 and the shot a 2500 something. We won by 600+ pins. We bowl Flowing Wells next wedsnday and they are our competition so i better step it up next week.

We play Mt.view at bedroxx on the 5th of january so we better bring our game. but by then i will have my real deal ready so im hoping i do better than the 480 i shot there with my sling blade. How did you do?

The Pure Hammer is a urethane ball with 10% resin added to make it high gloss if shined. It act's like the old Black Hammer. If you need more hook, cut in with 320, 400, or 600 depending how much you need. To me this ball is for medium oil conditions.

me and my partner shot a combined 596+720(the 720 is now the highest series in the region) , but the rest of our team sadly didnt shoot up to par. we played mt view, and sadly lost. but on a lighter note, the 3 mt viewers we played on our lanes, lost to us by 150 pins...on more than 1 occasion...

we are 6th in region, but will end up 4th after in house rival.

i added an eraser boost PBT to my arsenal, not a hammer, but still nice. my pure doesnt work well in oil, so i just got the eraser cheap...

We are bowling Mt. View tomorrow at Bedroxx. It shall be interesting beacuse their is only a 13 pin drop in averages between our team and theirs. I added a Real Deal to my arsenal and few weeks back so we shall see what happens. Man i love those big love sacks that are at bedroxx lol... Well good luck tomorrow.

Man we lost by close to 300 pins. Their top three shot 695,633,626 and our top three shot 614(me), 541, 526. lol it was horrible. Our top average guy who carries a 200+ average in two leagues shot a 483. All together we shot a 3200 and they shot a 3500. So we are now dropped to third place we are hoping that Mt.View loses next week. But they are bowling against Immaculate so i highly doubt they will lose. Well how did your team do?
