Depression!!!

Well, I guess I wont be bowling on any of the winter leagues. I was bowling the other day and injured myself. I was practicing my backswing and release and accidentally got my shoulder too low and the ball hit the floor before I let go of it. I ended up tearing some tendons in my right hand and now have to wear a splint for the next 6 weeks, until Sept. 20th. Which means I wont be league bowling until spring because I'll miss the beginning of Winter League, the first 4 weeks. I'll tell you what, if something bad can happen It'll happen to me.:(

Maybe you could sub? Or get a sub to cover you until your ready to return?

We have bowlers at our ally that just show up before league starts and more times than not their bowling for someone that night.

Man, that just sucks. I'm looking forward to winter leagues starting myself, and know how it is to start getting excited about the new league and to suffer a injury that just drains it all from you (though it hasn't happened to me in bowling yet).

It even happened with my g/f, she broke her ankle and swelling was so bad for the first week-ten days after they put on the first cast, that she was able to slip out of it after 2 weeks. Doctor told her that she might miss winter league as well, as she had to miss summer league because of it.

The real bummer for her, is that we bought her all new equipment and it sits there staring at her (and I swear it sometimes laughs at her) waiting to be used for the first time, and she's depressed because of it really bad.
