I let my friend borrow my ball and he left it in his car, temps here are 90+

and well I got it back a few hrs ago and there was a piece of tape halfway out the thumb holde and it was on the actual ball and then I pulled it off the sticky satyed on my ball

What shoyudl i use to get it off

ball cleaner and a little elbow grease should take it off.

Or go to a proshop and get those wipes from Ebonite that remove tape residue.

A product called Goo-Gone.

Dont know if available over there but "Eucalyptus Oil" removes it, thats how i get the tape goo out of my thumb slug, easy as, good luck

Like slap suggested, elbow grease and ball cleaner.

It's because of reason's like what happened to you that I don't let anyone use my bowling balls, though when I did, it wasn't any of my Hammer's and was my columbia300's. And they only used it in front of me, because nobody takes care of your equipment like yourself, and I was able to clean it afterwards.

I use soap and warm water to get it off. The same thing happend to my blue dot.

I finally got it off, The pro shop was closed, and I was going to go bowling today, well this morning, and The pro Shop doesnt open til 1

And last tie I went in there for the residue in my thumbhole they said that they dont carry that anymore...

But it took about an hour but I finally go it off last night and bowled really good today

What i don't understand, is why have it where the tape is on the outside of the thumb/finger hole as well? It can't be that difficult to cut a piece of tape to fit the thumb hole so that it's inside only and not over the ball itself.

I can understand if the tape was working itself loose during bowling, and eventually worked it's way to the outside, but would'nt the person using it notice it and try to prevent that from happening?

Next time, tell him to tape his fingers instead, that way all the tape is on him and not the ball.

A SMALL dab of WD-40 takes sticky stuff off anything. I thought everyone knew THAT one. Also makes a swell wasp killer. Spray it on 'em and watch 'em die! What fun!

My friends don't listen nor do my league teammates for that matter, knowing how I am about my Hammers after watching them mess up my past columbia300 balls, they have asked a few times to use my BW and BWP.

They keep crying "But you have two each of them, so it shouldn't be a problem", to which I reply "if you want to use Hammer so much, go buy your own like I did, and stop asking about using mine". A few use the storm tropical series crap and one uses a old hand-me-down gyro ball that his mom use to throw.

Because most people don't or won't take care of your stuff like you do, it makes it tough to let them use your pride & joy because of that.

just a normal ball cleaner and eblow grease will do the job tho

or even just a mircofibre towel...
