Hammer spare ball

Since the retirement of the Tuff (and I never had a shot at getting one), what is next in-line for a Hammer spare ball? I hope it could be something along the lines of the everclear with a black widow in it :D . That would be so cool, and go great with the black widows.

I heard they're going to buy a bunch of house balls and have them resurfaced. You'll have to send conventional specs in and they try to match you up as best they can. That way they won't have to fill the balls and you won't have to get them drilled.

We all have our wishes... I'd consider a Hammer Ball... Just don't stamp the Black Widow Logo on mine, or make it clear.

LOL, that's interesting. It seems like Rowdy's been here forever with his broken record of insulting posts and intolerance towards people in general and especially new posters.

It's one thing if someone comes on here and starts making an endless number of threads about the same thing, like the guy asking to sell his Blue Vibe, but to expect everyone to search out every thread just to see if what's on his mind has been posted before is too much to ask IMO.

I'm not saying anything bad about the search tool. However, if someone thinks they have a new idea, they don't need to run it by the search engine if they don't want to. I don't recall reading it in the rules of the board. I'd rather have someone do that than listen to some old grumpy bastard complain about petty issues.

There are a bunch of places on ebay that sells a BWS, and some for a decent price. Just do a search for it, and you'll get like 2 pages or so on both black widows.

Kind of like watching a soap opera. Tune in on Friday and they're still saying the same garbage that was on there Monday. Maybe we could have one thread where the use of those boxes is okay,but lose them everywhere else. They make going back to do research almost impossible.

A few things:

I won't join in the "Rowdy bashing" that seems to be going on, everyone has a opinion and is free to do so thanks to the great country called America, either ignore that opinion/debate that opinion/or agree to disagree with it.

Go to any site (bowling or otherwise) and you eventually have some of the people who have been around a while get upset because the new people don't read the the past pages to find the answers before they post. And honestly, why should they? How else are people going to raise their post count (if that matters to them) if repeat threads aren't made.

I come to this site because I am a HammerHead, and to be around other HammerHeads and even possibly learn from them as well, and hopefully in time meet up with some of them.

I use the quotes to let the person that I'm quoting know I am responding to them, and not have someone else think I'm talking about them, since sometimes issues happen because thinks your talking about them instead.

If I want drama, I'll watch Charmed.

I let some of the crap from before on this site get to me, and left the site for 8 months because of it. Otherwise I would have a higher post count if I was so concerned with being in the 1000's along with the others that started around the same time that I joined. And I won't let that happen to me once again.

I made this thread because I wanted a Hammer spare ball instead of my skull ball, and because I can't find the tuff anywhere I made the thread to find out how much longer it might be until one came out, and possibly find out the name of it ahead of time.

Now hopefully, we can somehow end all the drama going on lately, and once again go back to how it once was before it started.

You create your own drama. It's true so don't even try to defend that statement. I don't think you intend to but, emotion is very hard to capture on the internet. People don't know what kind of inflection is in your voice when your typing. The way you type comes off very abrasive even if you don't mean it that way. I don't know how to fix that.

That's what I like to do a well, seems there's alot of characters in this league, and some of the most helpful friendly people as well. For example, there's this one lady that does this little bunny hop for her last step, that makes everyone laugh. And on her team is her bestfriend and whenever she gets a strike, she brings out the guns for a 21 gun salute which is just classic.

My favorite though, is this one guy that after he throws the ball, does a little kick with his right foot behind his left leg, then starts dance like he's fred astaire. And you can't help but roll on the floor when he does it.

I hi-five people for every spare/strike/and even on the hard spare attemps that they miss because some people actually try to pick it up instead of playing it save.

All these people even signed my g/f's cast even though she's not in the league, but they know her because of me and I got her involved becasue she's depressed she can't bowl yet and might even miss the winter league as well.

And every day, she has to walk by her brand new equipment that she can't wait to use.

Okay someone hold Slap up when he hears this.....I'm gonna join a Sport League next month! I'm doing it to get ready for New Mexico next June. Will probably find a Spring Sport League to keep sharp for the Open. Now,my questions to those of you who have rolled in this before,any advice on how to play the different patterns? I'm going to roll the Widow's and both balls are very versitile.Inside,outside, I can throw them what ever way is needed to strike. I've looked at the patterns on paper but I want to hear what you guys have seen on the lane. Thanks in advance.

I just figured that it is pathetic the way ADULTS are acting. Fact is, Josh has said some things that may have offended people inadvertantly. Rowdy has said some things to people that may have offended them directly. I can see how people are biting Rowdy's head off, I'm not one of them, because the only thing he has said to me was just like a bee sting. It hit me, then the spot swelled up, then I said what I had to say and it passed. I don't really care about what Rowdy says or Josh says, it's just the fact that adults are acting like immature kids on Counter Strike at 2 in the morning.

I got a response from Brian Graham about the Hammer spare ball. Here's the scoop:

Hammer is currently working on a new spare ball, however, it will be tied to a particular line. He wouldn't say which line the spare ball will be tied to so I don't know.

At first I thought the obvious choice would be the Black Widow, but they already make one for overseas, so why would they need to develop it still?

My next suspicion is the No Mercy series since it's their high end line.

My hope is that it's the Raw line because I have the Anger, Pain and Toxic.

I also let Brian know that I would prefer a Hammer spare ball not be tied to a line because I don't own balls in all of the lines. Frankly, I may just get a Tuff while I still can.

I asked Brian some more questions; one about the Tuff or a general Hammer spare ball and a question about a dry lanes ball.

He told me the Tuff didn't do enough sales volume to justify making another general Hammer spare ball.
