Hi everybody I am new here, just a bit of history about myself. I am from forty this year and I come from a small country called Singapore. I started bowling only about three years ago. My first encounter with Hammer is the Black Widow, a very good ball but then I switched to Lane#1 because of all the good things I heard about them from the Pro shop. After trying a few Lane#1 balls I didn't find them any better then the Black Widow only more expensive. I was trying to get another Black Widow, as I sold away the last one, but it was no longer available here. I went to another Pro Shop and he recommended me the No Mercy Beatn. I am still deciding as this is a rather new ball over here....ok thats about all, thanks for reading. :)

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Since I don't own a Widow or a Beat'n, I can't help you based on personal experience, but I've heard good things about both balls.

I own both the Black Widow and the No Mercy Beat'n. The Beat'n hooks later and hooks quite a bit more than the Black Widow, for me anyway.

Welcome aboard new Hammerhead, the BW is a awesome ball and is very versatile. It's because of that, why Doug Kent Tony Reyes and Billy Oatman use the BW under different conditions and coverstocks.

The Beat'n is also a great ball, but I perfer to use it for mainly heavy oil since it seems to react better in that for me than it does in medium oil, and I'm partial to my BWP for medium oil anyway.

You can't go wrong with either one, but I choose the BW first before I got the Beat'n.

Thanks everybody for making me feel so welcome....come to think of it, felt rather regret selling my Black Widow away. Don't think I am able to get another one over here. Sign...:(
Btw is the No mercy Beatn a stronger ball than the Black Widow ? Will these two balls make a good 1 2 combo ? Thanks...

My main 3 balls I carry to league is the BW/BWP/Beat'n with the skull ball for spares. I find them to be a great 3 ball combo.
