My wife who hates bowling just joined a league with me. I couldn't believe it. I think she joined because I told her that since I switched jobs and now work daylight, I can join another league. She gave me "the look". Then I told her we could join a league together. She liked the idea. She has never bowled in a league and now we're on the same team. Hopefully, she'll become a loyal Hammerhead.

Good luck keeping her away from those "fruity-smelling storm balls" that seems to attrack women by the thousands, there's some women in the league I'm in that gather around before the league starts just to compare the smell of the balls (and they try convincing each other why their particalur ball is better than the others).

I just spend my time laughing my ass off during this time, because it is just so funny listening to them debate back and forth.

After taking up bowling this march after 17yrs and bowling in a league,my wife who has never bowled more than a few games in her life deceided to take up bowling I Got her a Tornado Warning and she has averaged 105 in a summer league. Just got her a NoMercy13lbs and will pick it up tomarrow along with my new NoMercyBeatn for myself,she wanted a NoMercy since the other two friends on our team,a couple,both throw NoMercys.

Earlier in April I traded a bunch of old fishing rods,reels and poles to friend of a friend who collects this stuff for new bowling balls. His son owns a pro shop and sends them to me via UPS,I then take them to my driller who drill them up for me

This fall the wife will be bowling with me and our friends in a thursday night league

Having been down this road THREE times,I only have one piece of advice for you. No matter how bad she bowls,NEVER,EVER,UH-UN,NO WAY,DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT and DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE give her a "tip,hint,do it this way,throw it over here,throw it over there" unofficial lesson of ANY kind. She will get so pissed that you might as well start sleeping in an alley off Liberty Ave to get some peace and quiet. You want to show her how much you care about her? Pay for some lessons. DO NOT GO WITH HER! Don't even hang out in the house while she's getting her lessons. Let her learn to bowl on her own. She'll love you for it,trust me. And Tinkerbell says I'm right on with this. I don't go to her lessons either.
