for all those who have thrown 300 game ,did it come unexpected,did you say to yourself im going to bowl 300.,REASON ASKING ,EVERYTIME I BOWL IF I STRIKE FIRST FEW THEN THOUGHT COMES TO MIND,ALSO SOMETIMES I TRY AND SIKE SELF UP BEFORE I LEAVE HOME AND SAY I FEEL 300 TONIGHT,BUT NOT TO BE SO YET,JUST CURIOUS

Unexpected Definately although I was and still am on a good run of form.

I was shooting 250+ pretty regularly so just a couple / few more strikes a game was probably on the cards.

I never thought about it directly though, why put that extra bit of pressure on you, just treat every shot separately and never think what if.

I was on 9 in a row last night but left a solid ten pin on the tenth ball. It was amazing as I didnt even feel nervous going into the tenth, hit my line, boom, 10 pin lol for a 279.

Funny thing, I broke the 270 barrier the week before and was still on a high from it. The day of league I was eating lunch with my family and was excited about bowling. I had a premonition about calling my wife and telling her I rolled a 300. So I mentioned to her I think I'm going to roll a 300, I never said that day but it happened the first game that night...

I was out bowling with the family (Wife, 17-month old, and step-kids when it happened. I has the last 5 of the first game to finish with a 180, and I proceeded to throw 12 in a row the next game. My older step-son was harassing me in jest the last 5 or 6 shots.

11 of the 12 shots were in the pocket, or maybe high flush. I had one on the Brooklyn side. I was the most nervous on the 11th ball. I was perfect in the pocket. I remember that I let that last shot go free and easy, and it wiped out the pocket. I have the score sheet at home (I really need to frame that :))

Haven't gotten 300 yet..threw 299 on 4/9/2007 followed by 221,210 for a 730 series all with The Widow and haven't gotten close again..Got me a widow pearl to go with it now and learning the ball...

My first 300 came as a huge suprise...I wasn't on fire or anything (710 set)but in the 8th frame my friend looked at me and was like...hey your doin pretty good this game....so yeah...that one snuck up on me...like all of them have....you can feel in the zone but as we all know...that damn ten pin can stand at any minute.

It is definitely one of the more unexpected things to happen. I am always looking to bowl my best when I go out, whether that means taking what I am given and bowling 190s or bowling like a moster and averaging 250 a game. That's all that you have to think of, just try to bowl your best with what you are given.
