O.K....a BOWLING QUESTION HERE WITHOUT ANY DRAMA PLEASE...I plan to have my BW resurfaced but I want it to be like the OOB condition...can my pro shop guy do that?? I don't feel like goin in there again for I have practically lived there the past two weeks. I don't need a more aggressive look to the ball, just the OOB reaction that I am comfortable with.

Yes, your pro shop guy will have the proper sanding disks to restore your ball and any polishes that are necessary.

Unless they have a Haus machine it probably wont be as smooth looking. But 4000 abralon pads and a spinner will still get the surface roughness the same as OOB

Agreed...
No polished needed for the Black Widow.
How bad is the coverstock looking? Do you bowl on wood lanes? About how mant games does the ball have? Does it have a shine from oil/lane conditioner? (Hey it happens even when you clean them right after bowling.)
If the surface is tore up the proshop should start at around 220-320, then 500, 1000, 2000 and then 4000.
If it in okay condition could be started at 1000, 2000 and 4000.
Any Haus type machine should get it really close to factory.

With a spinner its about get all six sides sanded as even as possible... and NEVER EVER change grits before the previous grits lines are removed.
Example you finished up with a real nice looking 1000 look even every where, you sand two side with 2000, but you can still see 1000 grit lines and you switch to 4000... big no-no.
Hope this was helpful.

Have your pro shop guy put the ball into some Hook Again and then use a Haus machine to get the finish you want. It might take some doing to find a pro shop in your area with a Haus machine, but it is worth it! Won't put my bowling balls on anything else! And the Hook Again will get 98 point something percent of the oil out of the ball.

I'm in the same boat, but not by choice. After using my newest BW for less than a month, the machine jacked up my coverstock and left some dings in it. Since I've only used it in one place for practice and league play, I took it to the front desk and the jabroni shift-stupidvisor said that I did it somewhere else, and that the dings was old not new.
After informing the ex-taco bell employee of the month, that the ball was not even a month old, and only use here that if he doesn't get it fixed for me, that I'll be back tomorrow to talk to his boss and won't be as nice as I was at that moment.
After a few minutes, he said that he will have it taken care of, and it will be done by my league next friday night. Spent the rest of the league pissed because I didn't have it to use, and it was doing better for me than the BWP at that time and wanted to keep using it, plus my other BW was at home and I couldn't go get it.
