Hammer and ?

Got this idea from a differnet thread that my g/f was reading, and she would like to know everyone's opinion on it.

You pick two balls from the Hammer line to be used as your #1 and #2 out of the bag, which company would you choose to have balls #3 and #4 to use for the other lane conditions that the #1 and #2 doesn't cover, or as a backup to use for either #1 or #2?

Hammer- Black Widow and a Doom.

Ebonite- NVS and possibly a Gamebreaker.

Hammer- Blue Vibe, Doom.

Roto Grip- Saturn, Neptune.

I choose to go with my BW and BWP with the Brunswick Fury and Fury Pearl.

Because they oil the lanes about a hour before my league starts and don't let anyone bowl on the one's for the league until it's time for it to start, I would use the fury for the first 2-3 frames then switch to the BW.

I find the BW usually swims in the heavy oil a few lanes before it becomes effective for me. The 2nd and 3rd games are usually my BWP, where it typically does well, and although the lanes never seem to get bone dry, there have been times by the 8th frame in the 3rd game wherre the BWP at times go flat, even after hitting the same mark from the previous frames.

So when this happens, I would switch to the fury pearl to handle those type of conditions for me.

Haha, not quite, I just like the versatility of the other coverstocks and the simple core/coverstock combinations better than Ebonite, and I like the hardness of the coverstock compared to Brunswick.:D

Regardless of which balls I have/am likely to have in the future, I shall probably keep my Show Time Pearl and Xcel Particle until the day they both split in half.

Skip the Lane 1 junk Brad... a bunch of overpriced hype IMO...

Now for me, other than Hammer, my next ball purchase WILL be a Visionary. I really like the idea that their coverstock completely wraps the core with no filler. I think I am going to get a pumpkin Ogre for my heavy oil ball.

Plus I really like the fact that it is direct lineage to the Faball Hammers that I love so much.;)

I would choose my BWS and BWP from Hammer and add Columbias Ressurgence and Track Kinetic....those are the two balls I'm currently looking at now

Hammer pretty much has everything I need.

2nd choice is Ebonite right now -- I really enjoy the Gamebreaker. But, I would like to try a Morich ball.

I would put both Widow's in the bag,of course. Then a real off the wall choice. A couple of Lane Masters. I don't know why,but for some reason I like to roll with balls from a small company.

Anger /Drilled #1

Black Widow /Drilled #1 sanded to 800

Columbia:

Wiked /Drilled with pin right of ring finger

Blue Dot /Drilled with pin in palm and a little to the right.
