Has anyone bought a new ball and not liked it and put it on the shelf and then brought it back out and loved it?
When I bought the hawgzilla I hated it! I thought it was lazy and just didn't like my overall reaction with it. A couple of weeks ago I pulled it back out and sanded it to 1000 and polished it and it is AWESOME!!! I love it i have rolled between 8-10 games with the lowest being 227.
Just curious if this has happened to anyone else.

Been there done that with a bunch of balls! I think it is because we build up this reaction in our heads of what the ball is going to do and then we throw it for the first time and it just doesn’t match with what was in our heads so we don't like it! Wow it is way to early in the day to be thinking like that!

Yep I have done that also. But I must say there a few balls that I have had I put away and never used them again. They were just to unpredictable. Since I heve been using Hammer products I haven't had that problem.

yeah that happened to me when i first got the old messenger ti pearl. hated that ball with a passion, was throwin my old track avenger, and when that wore out finally, i pulled the ti back out was throwing 6's left and right. myabe that'll happen to my doom...need a good dry lane ball. so i might look into gettin that one redone...maybe it'll hold true...lol
I had the same experience with my Toxic. I didn't really like the OOB finish, it was way too long. After quite a few cover changes the ball came to life.

I guess I'm different. Never had to park a ball at all. Have had to tune on some of them, but never park one. I always understood that a box stock ball is a comprimise and you have to do things to the ball to make it yours. So it was always "Get busy and tune this puppy up!"
