Alright...my BW isnt doing much at all, same amount of boards as Vibe just a different look (matches what it used to, minus alot of movement and its at 220 sanded.)

So...there's a high rev sitting on my pro's shelf, he'll charge me 20 bucks for it and I have to get the holes opened up and get grips. Still first drill too, not the 3d offset, but the recent one.

So I was wondering, how many boards more do you think the high rev will cover than the Vibe and what type of shot shape will it be with the pin about 4 1/2 inches from PAP (same with CG)?

First... wtf happened to your BW? It sounds like it was abused... balls don't just decide they need a vacation and quit reacting. If the pro shop is liable, they need to work something out with you.

Technically a pro shop is liable for it because when he plugged it, he tried to pour the whole thumb at once (I have a big thumb to start with and I had a slug in it) and I'm guessing the ball overheated and stopped reacting, because once my speed went back to normal after surgery, it stopped flaring in the midlane and just started skidding (I only throw around 17mph got medium revs...think around 250) the entire lane.

Well, the guy who did it is a known jack ass, for lack of a better word, and he refuses to think he did anything wrong. He couldnt get the plug to even set right 3 times. BW just isnt the same, my pro shop owner even thought that redrilling it and/or resurfacing it wont give it the same movement. I'm really really stressed out with all this crap going on and school stuff(honors classes). Dunno what's gonna happen, I wish BW would react like I want it to, the Vibe is doing exactly what I want it to do, but the BW isnt. In fact, my best line with the BW yesterday was standing on 10r and throwing from 10 to 5. About medium oil. Still outhooked the Vibe by 3 boards lateral. BW doesnt even carry like it used to, vibe just seems to hit harder. Only problem with trying to throw Vibe on medium heavy is lots of right side pin picking.

Oh yeah, after getting it sanded to 220, I gave it a bath. NOTHING came out of the ball

Sounds to me like the core "came loose" from the coverstock. I had that happen before. The difference was that it really wasn't the pro shops fault and he got me another ball direct from hammer as it was a problem with the first in this line.

But personally I'd be damned if I ever went back to the same place out of principle.

However, on that note, I'd probably just get a BW. And I'd insist it came, undrilled, from the guy that broke my ball, and I'd let him know that the intention was to take the ball elsewhere so somebody who knows what they're doing can help me.

I dont have money for another BW at the moment, so high rev would be my best choice.

I'm saying hold him liable for his mistake. Don't buy another ball.

If you didn't break it, and the ball sure as hell didn't break itself... then that leaves him. And if you want more ammo write Brian Graham, tell him about the situation and ask his opinion on the matter.

whole problem here is that it has been plugged, the dude's obviously not going to claim responsibility. Also, he wouldnt care if Hammer stopped shipping him stuff, he's sponsered by columbia. So far the 2 drillers I've had with columbia sponsership have done wonders to make a ball not react.

My regular guy would have done this whole plugging and refitting if he were fit to do it when I had it done. He was ill and out for a month.

Man, this is my second BW. First one got f-ed up by a driller, and so did this one...they should make drillers take an IQ test before drilling...

Oh, and since I haven't actually answered your question yet... I'd just stick with the VIBE.

See House Shot below for my opinion on the High Rev. First Drill for $20 bucks. Has the same core as the Blade's, classic Hammer core.

The High Rev that I had did not cover as much ground as my Blue Vibe does. It did however have a similar shape to the BW. If you really want a less expensive alternative to the BW I would suggest a Cherry Vibe.

I already have a Cherry Vibe. It doesnt react as much as my Widow. I've been throwing Vibe in oil, and it does show some squirt.

Ten pin: yea I think it would be around 20, it is also a first drill, so I'll be lucky if it is cheap off the rack, if it is, I'll just get the holes opened up some.

Mine has been unusable, hope that changes soon. I got the finger replugged (overfilled). They are just too tight, will get them buzzed out and see if that makes a difference.

Been wanting to try the Vac-Inserts. But with my hand hurting.

Looking forward to having this ball in the arsenal again. I'm confident it fixed, other than minor buzzing of the fingers.

Goodthing High Revs do not count against you... need I say AI.:p

Not sure where this ball will fight in over all, right now. I'll let you know if I throw mine soon.

It sounds like when he plugged the ball it upset the weight balance and has increased the RG a bit, causing it to skid longer.

Or does that sound stupid?

Personally I wouldnt mind that!
