Im thinking of getting the Black Widow. Im switching from a ball that
does not hook so much. The reason i'm thinking of thinking of switching is because I want more hook. What do you guys think?

They have the same core but with different coverstocks. It all depends on what you want the ball to do. The solid will hook better on oil, and the pearl will go longer before it hooks. I usually start a session with the solid, and once it starts hooking too much I switch to the pearl and it works great. The pearl is probably better if you only get one, you should be able to have more range

well... i will point out the obiouvs here
the pearl goes longer then the solid... the pearl(depending on drilling i guess) will hook more then the bws...... the bws can handle alot more oil then the bwp....

Also, it seems that the BWP hits harder than the BW because I seems to get more messengers flying across from the BWP than I do the BW.

They just about covered it. The BWP will get more length than the BWS but in my opinionyou could use the BWP on med to heavy just watch the speed. It's a little speed sensitive but will work just fine. Oh heck give yourself an early XMass present and buy both. the Pearl compiments the BWS nicely.

I dont think I need both. First I dont have enough knowledge about the sport to know how to use them both, second dont have enough money right now, and third I only bowl twice a week once in a three game league and once to practice (for fun). So wich one is the better ball.

I just bought the Pearl. I think, and I am no expert, but from everything I have read (and I research EVERYTHING before I buy) if you are going to get just one, go with the pearl, IMO.

I heard the pearl is speed sensitive. I through from 14.5-15.5 will that be a problem?

I just bought the BWS about 6 weeks ago and I love the ball. It was my very first high performance ball. I just started hooking the ball, I used to throw conventional with an ABS Lane Navi EX.
In six weeks with the BWS I've increased my average approximately 40 pins.
I've not thrown the Pearl so I can't comment on that but the BWS is one sweet ball. I pretty much throw over the first arrow and have it go long and flip over into the 1-3 pocket.

I have heard that the Pearl is speed sensitive, too. I just switched from an 11# conventional grip straight ball to the 14# BWP fingertip grip, so speed really is not an issue for me. I have found that by slowing down I am more accurate, so I have no desire to speed it up. The ball is a little heavy and I can't really throw it all that fast, but for me, at least, it gets the job done!

I have both. I find the solid far more repeatable and forgiving than the pearl. The solid seems to seek the pocket more than the pearl. My pearl is far more sensitive to speed than the solid.
My BWS is my first custom fitted finger tip ball. Always used house balls before. First game with BWS was 228. First game w/ BWP it kept sliding into the 6-10.
The pearl looks very attractive rotating down the lane...
Probably more important than which ball you choose is to make certain that it's drilled to match your delivery style.
And THE most important factor is to choose the correct insert colors!
Choosing the wrong ones will have the hammer board fashion police on your case:)
Hope your happy with whatever you choose.
Let us know your choice.

Will 14.5-15.5 mph make the BWP skid
I dont know how i should have my ball drilled the guy at the pro shop just drilled my first ball (tornado warning). How do I determine how it should be drilled?
Im only getting one wich would you choose and why?
I believe the oil conditions where I bowl are medium.

For your speed, you will have no problems with either ball.

Like we said the Pearl would be the choice for one ball. Depending on how you throw it, it should be a good fit. Drill it skid/flip, then it will go long and make the lane conditions a little more predictable

I think I' gonna go with the pearl and have the pro look at my release to see how he should drill it. Thanks for the help guys!!!!
