Well, I picked up the BWP last night. I really love it. I didn't bowl as well with it as I did at the Demo Days, but still WAY better than normal. It will take me a bit to get on to it, I think, but I really love it. I just have to find the perfect mark. One of the specials from the pro shop where I bought it is if you buy a ball, you get an entry into the Pro-Am No-Tap they are having 11/30-12/1. I am so excited! So I think we are gonna go tonight (my husband picked up his No Mercy Beat'n, also) and get to work. Also, I love the switch grip. Way better than the old way! I'll let y'all know how I do tonight. I have not bowled with it yet where I know an actual score, which is nice, but at the same time I am curious.

BTW, what's up with all these people looking at me like they have never seen a girl bowl with a ball that has a big spider on the side of it??????? I just don't get it. It's the same sort of looks I used to get when I went to the range to fire my .45 pistol or my .44 mag revolver....It's weird. Any thoughts?

Older men seem to have problems with women competing. From my observations however, younger generations could care less. It'll be a good day when all this sexism and racism disappears.

It'srbably because you have better form and a better game than they do. You probably throw the ball better also. There are some men like bowlkids said that do not like women to compete against them. the only reason for that is they do not want to be beat by a woman. I would like to see more and more women compete in mens leagues. Women are just as good if not better . They have proved they can compete with the best of them. I welcome women in the league I bowl in.

Well, I suppose you are right. The weird looks don't bother me, I'm just proud of my ball and the way it goes down the lane...let them look....:D

Maybe its because they wanted to see how the ball reacted on the lanes. Bowlers are always curious when a new ball or a new bowler shows up. who knows.. just enjoy your new ball and good luck

being the father of a high school junior, 5'7" 135 who throws shot, discus and Javilin on the varsity track team, I'm inclined to believe that the attention she garners at the alleys is due to a jelous envy for her No Mercy and not for her staturesque physique and above average beauty.

What color are the inserts? Seems to be of some interest to members. We do have fashion standards to uphold you know!

BWP's look way cool rolling down the wood..

The inserts are white...
I went out tonight and actually BOWLED, not just getting a feel for how it's drilled (like you do when you pick up a ball), but my husband and I actually BOWLED (him with his No Mercy Beat'n, and I with my BWP). I got 119, 108, 123, and a 161. It took me a bit to adjust to the drier than normal lanes, but once I did, it was AWESOME!!!! I LOVE this ball. It does look really cool, too, rolling down the wood. We were leaving as glow bowling was starting, much to my 5 year old's dismay, and that nice Spider on the side glows green under the black lights and looks WAY cool! I love, love, love this ball!!!!

sounds like your getting it dailed in pretty quick. Good for you! I went out w/ the kids last night under the black lights and never noticed the glow. I'll look for it next time. aren't these toys fun??

They sure are! You have to hold it so the widow is in a lot of black light, but it looks green...my husband thought that was the coolest thing about the ball (other than the fact that he has never seen me bowl so well). He just got his NMB, and he threw the BWP at demo days and told me that he didn't understand why I was going to even try it. He's a cranker, though, and doesn't have the finesse that I do. That's why his works better for him. I hated the NMB...yuck, but I tell you, once he got it, his was just making those pins EXPLODE. It's impressive, but no where near as impressive as someone with a 102-105 average bowling a 161 without really trying that hard!!!! I love it!
I will let you know if I figure anything else out on light oil that works. I am impressed with the fact that even though the BWP is for medium to heavy oil, it CAN work well on light oil. I may just be dangerous on Sunday night!
