Going to see my driller today to have a couple of balls redrilled for switch grip. I am going to get a spare ball drilled that way for sure (hopefully a Tuff).

Choices from my non-switch grip balls:

Toxic

BWP

Razor Blade

Hawg

I am leaning toward BWP and maybe Toxic. Any recommendations?

BTW: I like switch grip so much that I pretty much will only bowl with balls that have switch grip inserts. It allows me to move my thumb hole insert from ball to ball. 100% confidence that I will get same feel from ball to ball.

Definately the BWP its by far the best ball on the market right now and getting a better feel for it would probably make you throw it even better. As for the Tuff as you probably know they are very hard to find Ive been looking for one for a while now and none have came up anywhere even on ebay.

Take the two you use the most. And wait on the others

Well, I am on my way right now. I have decided for sure on BWP. Also, have Toxic and Hawg in the trunk. Only one other will get the switch grip today.

Thanks for the input.:D

Back from driller (guru). He could not get a Tuff so I got the Fireball Maxim for spares. Had the BWP redrilled for switch grip. He said that he has been really impressed by a non-Hammer ball by Track called the Kinetic. It is supposed to be a really strong skid-flip ball. I bit and got that too.

Now I have 4 strike balls that I will be taking with me to league until I decide which are my favorite 2 between:

Black Widow
Black Widow Pearl
Gamebreaker
Kinetic

I have been really enjoying coming to the lanes with my three ball roller. Now back to the menagerie.

Guru says the Kinetic will go long until it finds dry and then make a violent turn.

Yay for a poll. Haven't had one for, ooh, how many hours :p

Back on topic - what colour are switch grip slugs? Can you get yellow ones?

Switch grip slugs can be colorful. I have an orange one. Other two are white and black.

Re: Street's comments about the BWP and its skid flippiness -- we will see. Mine has been too strong to play the skid/flip role I imagined for it. It has been more of a strong track to inside lines ball for me.

Guru was trying to explain how to play skid/flip lines. With the new concept in mind I hope the Kinetic and BWP will be able to skid/flip for me for the foreseeable future.:D

OMG kinetic will dominate the lanes. Its THE skid/flip ball.

There is a lot of competition for that title this season. The Ogre SS and Sure Strike move on the backend with tons of angle.

Kinetic is better than Orge SS IMO
Kinetic can handle more oil (think BWS), but Orge SS is lower preformance with the same look, possibly a good arsenal idea from multiple companies.

I agree, those two balls are intended for different conditions. I mentioned them together for their backend shapes only.

Why would the Orge be lower performance? Both are mid levels balls in the same price range.

To bring the conversation back to Hammer, it's interesting that the 3 ball Orge line is set up similar to the Raw Hammer line. A very strong solid and 2 pearls, one longer and more angular than the other.

hehe, the Orge line had the heavy first, prolly didnt intend to bring anymore new ones out until they saw the popularity of the Raw Hammer series..I should go pay Visionary a visit, I live less than 30 minutes from their plant.
