OKay so Last fall I messed up some tendons in my hand bowling... For the next month and a half I had serious timing issues...
Well I now have a slight tear in one of the ligaments in ankle on my sliding foot(injury at work), and I was wondering if theres anyways to keep my timing correct during this injury so it doesnt take as long to fix when I come back..

Besides going a little bit slower in your delivery, try using soles if your shoes has the one's where you can replace them to one that doesn't slide, so that your ankle has a chance to heal.
Ligaments in the ankle area are really a touch and go thing when it comes to bowling while it needs to be rested in order to heal quickly, but I know how it is when you need that bowling fix.
I just slapped a ankle brace with the laces on it, tightened it up and bowled on it, though afterwards I had to prop my leg up and have 2 bags of ice on each side of the ankle wrapped around it, and even though I could've been healed in a months time, I just had to go bowl 2-3 times a week on it instead.
Best of luck with it.

Hope you get a ok to go back. When you go back to bowling again, take it easy and see how it feels in practice. Walking and sliding on the foot are too different pressure you exert on your ankle. Just be careful at first.

Don't roll untill it's completely healed!!! All you'll do is keep aggrivating it and it'll take a lot longer to get it right.

I agree with the guys on this one. Stay off the lanes until its healed. I am 46 yrs old and I will tell you right now, if you dont let things heal now, they will haunt you forever and I mean forever ! I take care of my feet, ankles, knees and hips ! They will in turn take care of you !

Well, just practice a little at it...coming off surgery I had my arm ahead of my legs by 2 steps, it was sad, just corrected it, knee still is ailing and gotta have more surgery later, its gonna suck, but its necessary and it'll get better eventually, and prolong my bowling career.

Well when my tendons messed up I was at the top of my backswing, and my backswing is as high as my arm can go, and I lost control of and bent my hand the wrong way and I couldnt make a fist for a while
Anyways I decided to bowl today... I shot 440 first series... Couldnt shoot for shit...
Then second league I shot 577, did really good just couldnt strike... I had 12 10 pins in 3 games.. picked them all up, but I did leave one frame open each game..
