? for those who use a spare ball

Hey guys, when you have your spare ball drilled do you use insets and slug, or inserts no slug or nothing. I have both in all of my balls, but the pro shop I use tells me no inserts or slug in a ball used for spares.

I would get it drilled with slug and inserts like everyother one of your balls so that when you switch balls. You dont know it( feel wise of course) if you dont get it with inserts and slug it is going to feel a lot different that your other balls. You dont want that.

Well than you should get a new driller. You need to have a consistent feel fom ball to ball. Get it drilled the same exact way and the same inserts and slugs.

If you've got grips and slugs,put 'em in your spare ball too. Damn pro shop guys think they know everything.(Grumble,grumble. And we only had ONE ball!!! We had to carry it,too. No fancy schmantsy roller bags like you guys hav.......oh,wait....I own TWO of those,now. And 6 balls. Nevermind. Back to the meds.

Make sure that you keep all your BB drilled the same way. On THIS I know. I had to try to bowl with 3 different type of layouts on 3 different BB. By the time I got smart and fixed it my game had gone to the dogs. I wa so mad at myself. I couldn't find a spare or strike. But I did find the gutter. It kept getting wider and wider everytime I tried to bowl.

I use slugs and grips... but my spare ball only has grips... the thumb is pretty darn close.

I use a No Mercy for Spares on the left side, and a Sharp Blade for them on the right...

Both can be "strike balls"
