The other day I noticed that I move my eyes from my target right after my release. would this affect my accuracy a lot? I've still been bowling well but I feel like my accuracy needs some improvement, and that was the first thing I noticed that could be a good, helpful easy fix. Any thoughts?

You bet! Try hitting a golf ball with your eyes moving. And that ball sits still! Your mind will try to throw it where ever your eyes are looking at release. Keep looking at that target!

Oh yes! I notice if I accidentally look away, or glance at pins, etc. that I miss my mark most every time! I stare at my mark until that ball rolls across it and my arm comes up for the follow through...my accuracy has improved 1000%. Burn a hole through that target...;)

Yeah thats what I tried my last couple frames earlier, I stared at my mark until the ball went over it, and it was a little different but easy to get used to, but in the end I felt more comfortable about my shots

But he does state at the end that he advocates keeping your eye on the target. He stated try three shots two with your eye on the target and one on the pins. I don't care what you look at , the pins , arraows, dots , or boards down the lane , you are using them as your target. It is very important to keep your eye on the target through your release.

Yea, your eyes and mind can adjust to a different mark, but your arm is already in motion and that takes a lot of electric impulses to get it corrected and usually its too late. You must remain fixed on that target as long as possible. One way I practice this is to hold my eyes on the mark til I hear the ball hit the pins. Yes its no fun to hear and not see the ball, but you cant change its direction then anyway. Its just a practice thing !

i have the same problem sometimes

what i do is pretend i have a hat on with a bill like a baseball cap

and line up the bill with the dove tails right after the arrows

and keep your head down after the shot till u hear the pins crack

(keep your head down till u hear the ball hit the pins)

IMO, that's a tip for an advanced bowler.
