Ok guys, tomorrow is the day I put the holes back in the NM. Here is what I have proposed as the drilling for it by what Brian Graham and Bubba have told me. Let me know what you think. The pin is 4 in from pap and slightly below the ring. The heart is straight below the pin and the cg is just inside the line between them. I made this pic to illustrate. Undrilled the side weight is fine and the thumb has 1 1/4. I dont think thats a problem to get out. Let me know what you think guys

Stampy, buy the looks of the drawing you made it looks fine to get the ball rolling earlier. The thumb being at 1 1/4 you could take just over 1/4 ounce out by going deeper with the thumb hole. It appears by looking at that you will achieve the early roll you are looking for. How would it weigh out with the HART under the thumb? But it might just give it too much thumb weight.

So you think I need to put the heart straight below the thumb ? It will have about 3/4 side and 1 1/4 thumb. So I can put an extra hole on about a 60 degree angle from Center of grip to the right of the thumb. One good thing is my thumb size helps remove weight too. The heart being below the thumb will not hurt me as far as thumb weight. What will be the diff in the heart placement ?

I don't think it needs to be below the thumb I just was wondering how it would weigh out being below the thumb. LOL on the thumb hole , mine is 1" 3/16". I think you will be fine with what you have now in getting the ball to roll earlier. The HART placement below the thumb might not make that much difference being it's so close now. What you have looks like it will be the arc you want and not the skid and then backend.
Keep what you have drawn it's fine .
