I DO NOT have a benchmark ball right now. I need one, my Widow is out of commission for its own good (poor thing wants to serve, but it just isnt like it used to be after alot of work on it)
I was thinking a few things and i dont know if it will end up being a Hammer ball.
Well a few of my options:
Kinetic (this is my favorite so far)
Toxic
Doom
What do you think of the Doom over the Toxic, my little brother got a Toxic and he loves it, looks like it hooks nice, its actually helping him change his release from a low track to a medium track. (it overreacts when he throws his normal extremely low track that boarders on a spinner release)
I still think the Doom or Toxic will have better carry than the Kinetic, as far as I've seen the Track products dont carry like a Hammer, even the new ones, and people who've thrown them will say so. I was thinking of getting a Toxic or Doom and laying it out with a control drill, pin under ring finger, stacked CG, do you think the Doom or Toxic would be better for this?

I would go with the Toxic if you are looking for that versitale ball. The Toxic would be good with that drill you descibed. Better than the Doom.

alright, a Toxic it is then, I really need a middle ground ball, I got the Big One (uber early smooth roll, perfect for heavy or long) and the CV (very very long, starting to adust the rotation on it, revs is much harder for me to do, it seems my release is just so natural and effortless now that I rev it up without trying at all)

Your release sounds like mine blisters. Even when I try and flaten my hand out for spare shots I still get aroun 300 revs on the ball. Just natural. It's kinda like lefties and the old saying,( I'm gonna hear about this ) Lefties have a natural hook.:)

OOooooooooooo,Bubba(sighs) you know better than that. Remember folks,it's B-u-b-b-a R-a-y. Let the debate begin. And no,lefties don't have a natural hook. But I sure would like to have that big hook some of them have only right handed.

LMAO That's what I was told when I was a youngin in this game. But MY HOOK is natural also and I am a righty. It's nothing for me to throw 20-5 or farther out . Rowdy we could work on that hook if you want . It will just take longer at our age.
OH BOY I did it again. Another thing I'm gonna hear about. I'll never learn when to quit ;)

No,no. I'm fine, really. The rebuilding of my new and improved swing is pretty much done. I've just got to get some good games rolled with it so if something isn't right I'll know what it is.

I would say that if you are looking for a very strong, yet overlooked benchmark ball, to go with the Track Temper. Very versatile and very strong. Many people are going to overlook it because of the Track Kinetic and it's strong skid/flip motion and the Track Rising with the exotic possibilites. Definitely the Track Temper is something that you will be looking for.

Yeah, Bubba, when I flatten out, my ball still revs quite a bit, the plastic ball helps ALOT
My opinion on lefties and their hook is...
There are not that many lefties, many have to teach themselves, they end up teaching themselves how to get a fair amount of hook with a release that they learned themselves and are comfortable with
To this day, I have not met one left handed stroker, all tweeners and crankers.

We have three leftie strokers in our house. All have very solid games and averages in the 200 to 210 range.
