Hmmm I have had mine now for two seasons and it still reacts as it did when I first threw it. I don't understand what the problem is with some of the NM's. Mine is consistant as ever.

Stampy you mean to tell me that with all the work you do on bowling balls you can't make that ball work? I'm amazed.

It's all about matching up with your equipment and lanes... Don't totally get rid of it, just work with it a bit and see what you can do. It may take time, but it will come around. I am sure that you will fine some lane condition that you could use the No Mercy for when you need it.

I think its just a dud, oh well. I have the NMB and I love it ,689 last night while bowling with the flu. Not bad. The NM just has never reacted at all. I am not sure but I would love to try another one sometime

Its soo inconsistant
For example... 2 leagues today both oild the same way, same lanes...
First series 640, smashing the pocket...
Second, on fresh lanes reoiled...
521 I couldnt hit the broad side of a barn wit a MAC truck with guardrails...

Yea, thats what I saw too. Its ok, I have bought balls before that didnt work at all. I bought the Fury when they came out and it was the same with me as this one. I really am not upset, just highly disappointed. I really wanted it to be like the Beat'n only start sooner. I think I have decided on a Resurrgence or a Total Inferno. Although I did get my BWS drilled today and I drilled it very aggresive, so maybe I will get lucky and it will fill the spot I am trying to fill. For now I have come to the conclusion that I will put a tad bit of polish on the NM and see what it does. But the next step is as a door stop for the Pro Shop (LOL)

Stampy, take a hard look at the Resurgence. You might be dissapointed in that ball. The Anger out hooks the resurgence. Don't give up on the NM. Remember the NMB is around 6 boards stronger than the NM.
What I am wondering is on a fresh oil pattern did you move or try and play the same line? What I would do is plug the weight hole and put an XHole in a stronger position to make the break.

Well, this is why I was leary of going with just one ball type. My Anger and my NM do not work well for me at all. I have seen the Resurrgence roll in our house and it works well. The NM has been plugged and redrilled once now. I will not do it again do to lose of coverstock while refinishing. I am always disappointed when balls dont work, but I have accepted the fact that they dont !

I'm noticing that all the balls you mentioned having problems with are matte finish balls. I guess they don't match up well with your swing, revs and the lanes at your house. Maybe you should stay with the polished or pearl balls. Just a thought.
