Well, I went to the proshop, I found the best shop in town and went to them, so my thumb problem is finally fixed, going to have a slight ring finger drop in my grip now, and the thumb will be oval with a good downward pitch (I dont have to squeeze at all to keep the ball on my hand)

My question is about my drill it looks like this

--O-Opin--
-----CG---
----------
---0------
----MB----

I dont know what the drill exactly is, what should this do? I think its an arcing drill

blisters, from the diagram that you posted it looks to be a strong drilling pattern for a strong controllable hook. I take it you didn't throw the ball yet because it isn't done. Droping the ring finger alittle relaxes the grip and witrh the pitch of the thumb it should come off nice and clean. Let us know how it feels and comes off your hand and also reacts.

I have thrown it before, but the problem is that every time I throw it, it seems to do nothing me, also there is a weight hole at 4 over 1 up (about a medium tracker's PAP). The weight hole actually changes my track

Bubba you must have a layout I don't have. Closest I can come is a twisted Label Layout #4. It's the only one that has the pin next to the ring finger but the mass bias is on the wrong side of the thumb hole. I have no idea what that and an X hole will do to the ball. It's uncharted territory for me. Blisters, let us know how this layout rolls for you.

I get it back tommorrow after school, I'm gonna get my Vibe completely redrilled also.
Vibe is too strong, I'm getting the pin put at 6inches from PAP, CG in the palm

BW I expect a big hook with good midlane and strong back, I'll let you all know, my pitches all got changed because I brought it up with this guy, so new pitches plus an oval thumb :D

I AM SO HAPPY!
The thumb fits so well, I dont have to squeeze at all to keep the ball on my hand, dont have to use tape, and my ball motion is entirely skid/flip now, I love the ball, going to buy a BWP for my B day in 4 weeks, from the same guy. The pitch changes were great moves, glad I talked to the guy about them.

Great!! I love to hear it when somebody finally gets the ball to fit right. Now for the big question: What are you shooting with the new and improved ball?

First game out of the shop (no practice, throwing VERY hard) I shot a 205 (shoulda been 220, clipped a double wood in the 10th), next game 213
I had a 4 bagger in both games.

My first league day with it is saturday, I also have a qualifier that day, this is my lucky tournament ball, I qualified at my last tournament with it.

Side note: when I get my BWP, do I get it drilled the same as my BW or just skid/flip? My BW I am considering taking to 2000 sanded, I love the BW at this finish, but not until I get my BWP

Let me guess, this qualifier is for the Pepsi Challenge, the youth one. Same here and i've been doing horrible:(

No, not Pepsi, I'm almost unable to qualify, my average is right up around 190 they're taking most pins over average, I have to shoot mid to high 200's for that
I'm going to qualify for a more meaningful tournament, highschool-collegiate one. There's gonna be college coaches scouting there.

Good luck blisters and pain. All you have to do is stay focused and play your normal game. Do not try too hard and don't try to imprees anyone. Be yourself and let your bowling do the impressing.

Blister, Make sure you talk to your Jr Organizer and see about bowling in the scratch division. They are able to send peeps like yourself in that also. My Daughter bowls in the scratch

Blister don't be afraid to use a few pieces of tape. I guess I need to dig up my old posts from the summer when I was rambling on about the benefits of tape...LOL

See i dont like white tape. I use black on both sides. I love a ball with a bare front and one piece of black in the back, that means it fits perfectly for me.

I might end up using one piece of white, I love that stuff, my balls that didnt fit had 13-20 pieces a ball, per thumb hole

the one piece of tape would be to give me better grip, right now the ball is slipping out pretty early, going to fix that with some tape.

Oh yeah...ummm...should BWP get drilled skid/flip or just like my ball now, I dont know if I want any midlane at all. I think I just want long and snap, but midlane is nice, BWP isnt a ball for midlane though, is it?

I can throw mine up the 5 board and it starts to come off it at mid lane. Hooks right into the pocket.

BTW-If you need that much tape in a thumb hole, you need to get the thing plugged and redrilled with some pitch in it to help you hang on to the ball.

Yeah, I know that Rowdy, I went to a new proshop and they are my favorite, my BW is great, getting everything else redone. I have so much more power behind my shot than before its great.

Up the 5 really really really hard is my shot on oil, and it works.

I cant wait for the BWP to compliment the BWS. It'll be so great...*drool*

My BWP is going to be skid/flip after much consideration.

My tourny qualifier is tommorrow morning, cant wait to bowl like crazy, with the BW, I feel like I can shoot a 300
