i am having problems maintaining this balls matte finish it wants to absorb oil and smooth itself out.(i guess you could say it polished itself with out polish) i need help keeping it a low maintainance ball. any suggestions?
its my favorite ball and ive used it a a year or so.

Reason the coverstock is absorbing the oil is because the pores of the coverstock is open. You can put a little polish on the ball to delay the ball from abrorbing the oil.
The performance will change because the traction of the dull surface will be reduced. Now you will have to fine tune the cover by scuffing the cover around the flares to gain the performance again. This will give you the best of both world, keeping the oil from soaking into the ball as well as maybe gaining more backend motion.

FabBall is correct. You can also use Ebonite Quick Sand or Ebonite Sand Blast
this will keep the cover stock close to the original coverstock

thanks for the advice i sanded it down to 400 grit and put some fac finish on it on it feels like a dull and a polished at the same time ill get back to yall when i use it. :)

i put some clean n sheen on it and it gave it exactly what i wanted. thanks.
