 I bowled last night at a new house for the first time, in a mixed couples league, just for fun (yea right) LOL;) at least my wife thinks it for fun, I always bowl serious. The problem I was having was dealing with dry lanes. I was using my Blue Pearl (fab ball) and hooking it to the "Brooklyn" side. Which ball would be best for "bone dry" conditions, or would a change in stance and delivery work? Any tips or feedback would be helpful.
My games were 173 160 193 526 series (not bad)!

Well depending on the balls you have you can try raising the ball speed or you may want to try adjusting the release. Which ever is easier for you to accomplish with staying in control. If all else fails pull out the plastic...

The balls I carry are Big Blue Pearl, Blue (fab ball) urethene, Blue Pearl (fab ball) and Purple Nova, my ball speed is usually 14.5 MPH to 14.8 MPH. I usually can't throw much harder. Our scoring machines shows ball speeds:) so I know exactly how fast I throw.

WHERE do you find a dry lane these days?????? I'd love to find a dry lane house so I can tear the hell out of things like I used to!!!!!!! A dry condition is HIGH SCORING condition!

Am almost with Bigblue on this, except I would bring out the plastic before adjusting release. Invariably when I flatten out my release the ball is DOA when it hits the pin deck. Then start seeing a number of 5-7 splits.

I use a vibe for dry lanes. In the dallas area, Jupiter Lanes has the most dry conditions I have seen anywhere.

if anyone has ever bowled in the Cleveland area there are several houses that have dry lanes or lanes that break down fast and dry out quick! I was thinking of the vibe also, but the blue vibe with the CT coverstock. What's the difference between the blue and purple?

Ask about drilling the ball pin line grip.
