Alright, so last night I bumped into one of the guys who has really helped my game along, he got me into the BWS, so I was talking to him last night about ball choices. He loves his BWS just like I do, but he said the BWP is too condition sensitive and he's about to take his down to 1000 in an attempt to get a better read off of it. I really dont feel like ending up with a very condition sensitive ball, and the LevRG by Morich is looking absolutely phenomenal. Also, my driller knows what he is doing and can drill an Immortal Solid.
So i was thinking, do I want a BWP, a LevRG, or an Immortal Solid?
I know you guys will prolly all jump on the BWP train, maybe spare a few (I know Bluerrpilot doesnt like the BWP as much as a BWS), and I'd like a few thoughts on this.
My style: powerstroker, 300 RPM, medium-high track (it changed slightly, I wanted it to anyway.), low axis tilt, medium-low axis rotation (not quite 45 degrees, maybe 20-25 degree range), I dont know my ball speed right now but its approximately 18 mph I think.
Also, if you do reccomend the BWP tell me what layout, and/or surface finish

Blisters, I'll be the first to jump on the BWP wagon only because I believe in the Hammer Brand. And I will not recommend any other brand. I agree the BWP is speed sensitive, but I personally must rethink the condition sensitive part. Reason being is last night in league play, our house flooded the lanes for the first time in a long time. I started the night with the Angle and the ball would not move more than 3 boards. and I was playing straighter down the labe than usua and shot 182l. Now you may not believe this but you had to be there to see for your self, I took out my BWP with OOB surface with only the factory polish removed, played 15-10 in the oil and the ball had no problem recovering out of the oil for me anyways.
shot 279 and 263 withe BWP. I am noticeing alort of BWP owners taking their ball down to 1000 and some polish it and the ball is working fantastic. You gotta watch the Morich ball, last I heard they were using brunswick cover stocks and we all known what they do. I would recommed the BWP with surface adjustment and speed adjustment and I really believe you would like this ball. I wouldn't get a skid/flip layout I would recommened a strong layout.
To give you and idea of myself I am a high rev rate player with 450-500+revs. Ball speed is 17-19 mph,

I would go with the immortal solid because of the colors and for the performance. I will never recommend a ball thats not made in the U.S.A. and the LevRg is made in Mexico. The immortal solid is a good ball and last a damn long time. I dont like the BWP because of how specific it is. And because it'll slide past the breakpoint for me with my normal speed on med oil.

The only problem I see with the levrg is I have never seen anyone throw one except WRW. I think you should steer clear of it until Mo has time to get more options on this new core.

Rowdy-I almost fell out of my chair. I cant believe you reccomended the LevRG.
also, thing with a BWP though, I have a BW, I dont want overlap. I have no problem with speed consistancy though.

I decided the LevRG will fit better in my bag.
Arsenal with BWP
1) BWS
2) BWP
3) Cherry Vibe
Arsenal with LevRG
1) LevRG
2) BWS
3) Cherry Vibe
There is less overlap with the LevRG. The Cherry Vibe can cover medium if needed, but the BW can cover that as well.

I cant speak for the LevRG. But I can speak for the others in your planed arsenal. Dont get me wrong, I do think the BWP is a good ball, and I think it is much better without polish. I dont think you will get the overlap your thinking of. If you lay them out right, and adjust the surface right, your 3 Hammer arsenal will work great. I would not lay the pearl and the solid out the same. If anything I would lay the CV and solid out the same(except for the MB of course) and make the pearl smoother and sooner with a shorter and lower PtoP and the MB closer to 75 deg. and the cover at 4000 or maybe even 2000 and no shine

I'm getting my CV redrilled to handle the dry better, when I hit dry, they are bone dry.
The point to getting the BWP originally was to be the gap ball between the CV and the BWS. If I get a BWP I would get it a control drill, take the BWS down to 1500 or 2000, then take the BWP's polish off for a smoother breakpoint.
The LevRG looks to be a heavy oil ball at OOB. I really do not have a heavy oil ball to speak of, I've had other thoughts. So my thing here is to either adjust the surface of the BWS to make it heavy oil and to buy a BWP to react in place of where the BWS used to be, or to buy a heavy oil ball (LevRG or maybe even a NMB) and keep BWS at its current state. I really dont know what the BWS is at, I know whatever grit sand it used to be was around 500, and I got it polished, the pro shop guy would not take the ball to 4000 sand, thats when I switched shops.
Of the three you listed, the LevRG is the only heavy oil ball IMO. If that's the slot you want to fill get the LevRG. If not, I would recommend the BWP. I think the Im. Solid, a high flaring solid, would be similar to your BWS.
I've only thrown mine for 1 game so I can't really give it a review yet.

The only reason I said for YOU to buy the RG is because YOU wanted the ball,YOU just wanted someone else to tell YOU to buy it. Anyone else,I would have went with the BWP. Sorry Dude, but your mind was made up. All you needed was for someone to give you a push in the right direction. One thing though, you can't come back and tell us what a snoozer the RG is and how you wish you had bought the BWP instead.

At this point, I think that I do need a heavy oil ball, specially after league today. So now I have eliminated everything but a No Mercy Beat'n or a LevRG. I'm leaning towards the NMB because it doesnt read early, from what I've seen the LevRG is a totally different shot shape than the NMB.
Today I bowled and the house reversed the shot or something...it was oily from 10 out and the inside was about medium, the BW was doing okay, but I couldnt find a good breakpoint that would last. I ended up sticking in my third game and cracking something in my ankle...it hurts alot right now.
None of us on this board would compare the LevRG to the BWP? Apples and oranges. That makes no sense at all...
Now in a couple of weeks when the pearl LevRG is released, then we can have that discussion.

If you want a heavy oil ball, buy the Resurgence. Its a cousin to the Hammers now, and it really works well OOB
