thought I would share, new future superstar Cory Simmons out of Wichita, KS.
He qualified 10th in the southwest region (behind Derrick Woods who is a well known hammerhead out of Houston.)
After 13 games over saturday and early sunday, he proceeded to take it to Del Ballard Jr. rolling a 181,254,229,221 to win 3-1
Mike Scroggins 216,228,237 to win 2-1
Kevin Mitchell 233
and then lost the final to none other than Chris Barnes (224-259)
224.7 average in the toughest of head to head competition, the kid is a winner.
Chris Barnes I am sure looked at the $2,000 winners check and thought "how cute" as he makes more than that every month with his new endorsement deal.
Point is to keep an eye out for Cory Simmons
and let's not forget HammerHead Derrick Woods qualifying 3rd behind only Chris Barnes and Mike Scroggins. He used his Black Widow and Tuff combo to get him into bracket play, fell to Kevin Mitchell in the first round unfortunately.
